Easiest solution would be to go back to the version where it worked.

I installed Dolphin 5.0 and the drums worked right away, thanks!

I’ve been enjoying testing my customs in Dolphin because of how simple the process is, but recently Dolphin installed an update and my drums stopped working. They still work on the Wii so I’m not sure what the issue is. I followed the steps here to reinstall the drivers: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=USB_Passthrough and then I removed the drums from the list of whitelisted devices and re-added them and they still aren’t recognized in game. I tried this with Rockband 1 wired drums and Rockband 2 wireless drums. The blue light on the drums is lit up so it looks like it is connected. Can anyone offer me any advice to get my drums working again?

Is your ticket flagged correctly? On page 141, I explain how this works. And if you only have the first byte flagged, that explains why only the first 8 load. But also keep in mind that sZAE’s numbers doesn’t progress linearly. After about 124, it breaks the pattern.

That fixed it, thanks for your help!

Lately I’ve been interested in trying to play customs in Dolphin, but I’ve run into a strange issue. The first 7 customs load, but then no more will show up. I’ve been packing them individually because I want to be able to quickly add/remove individual songs. I’ve tried different batches of different customs with different songs in the 8th slot and it just won’t load. Here’s the structure I’ve been using:

    015_0000000f_songname_meta

    016_00000010_songname_song

    And in songs.dta:

    name “dlc/sZAE/015/content/songs/songname/songname

    And in packdlc.bat:

    u8it 015_0000000f_songname_meta 0000000f.app -pack
    u8it 016_00000010_songname_song 00000010.app -pack

Anyone have any idea what I’ve doing wrong? I’ve tried recopying the Dolphin-DLC-Files over and clearing the cache and that didn’t help.

I wouldn’t mind charting the drums. Drums are my favourite instrument to chart, and on a quick listen to the song I could hear the drums pretty clearly so I should be able to do it fairly quickly.

in reply to: Need help with RB2 Drums double-hitting problem #467832

That’s odd the pad is double-hitting. Usually that only happens with the RB2 cymbal expansion.

When you took it off, did you just pull it off? Or did you unscrew anything?

I just pulled it off, there weren’t any screws holding the pad down.

Your rubber hooks are misplaced. Take those off and put them back in their chambers.

Thanks for the detailed response. I didn’t think the rubber hooks could be removed. I’ll give that a try, thanks.

I’ve added a bunch of songs, and just now had a chance to try them out. Unfortunately something’s wrong. When I load the game and enable the SD, it says that there is content that needs transferred from the SD, which I expected. When it goes to do the transfer though, I get an “unknown error” message which then disables the SD.

I tried removing the newer songs from the SD card, but I’m still getting the same error. Maybe I didn’t go back far enough, but I am pretty sure I got them all. I also tried resetting the cache, but that made no difference.

BTW, I am not using emulated NAND. I load the game using USB-Loader.

I’ve had this same problem many times, and I finally found a solution that always works for me.

Go into your Wii settings, then data management, and look at the Wii save data. Find any data that can be copied to the SD card (even homebrew channel save data works), and copy it. Then you should be able to play RB3 without the error. Let me know if this works.

You deleted your DLLs. Get them again from the packer download.

Update to this again. I’ve found a table of bits that change what each “button” on a controller does. I can append the bits for the cymbals to it and it should work. Try this cheat, with caution.

$Hit Pro Cymbals on Standard Drums
    047F0B34 00000480
    047F0B38 00000640

Right now, that cheat should make the Pro blue and green cymbals hittable with their corresponding colors on regular drums. Or not. I couldn’t find yellow on this table because it might be an issue with the Guitar Hero drums configuration. But this is closer – if it’s not double-hitting and breaking combo.

I just tried this, and when I did Pro Drums, I couldn’t hit the blue or green cymbal notes. I’m pretty sure I did everything correctly. I have RB1 drums if that makes a difference.

Yes, I was using Biinkc in the program. I did check the name of the exe before trying to run the tool. I thought maybe my problem was because I was trying to run it from a folder on my desktop, so I moved the folder to the root of C: and when it still didn’t work I tried it from the root of D: with no luck.

Also, on the Wii version of Fall Out Boy – The Take Over, The Break’s Over, I am getting Hi-Hat gems where there should be snare drum gems. Is that a common issue or did I do something wrong?

I know there is something called a “Disco flip” where they switch the hi-hat and snare gems, so that might be what you’re seeing.

Hey, sorry I haven’t replied to this, I’ve been real busy and haven’t been able to play Rockband much lately. I’m gonna test this out over the next few days and I’ll let you know how it goes. I’m very thankful that you made this.

I’m liking the more rare stuff! LPU has some awesome demos and unreleased tracks.

I’m glad you like it! I hope to release more LPU songs in the future!

    We’ll take a look.

Thanks, it’s been a little disheartening to have all my customs immediately rated 1 star.

Hey everyone! I have three new songs today!

No Roads Left is an awesome song that didn’t quite make the cut for Minutes to Midnight, but was included as a bonus track in some versions. It’s a fun, electric guitar driven song with Mike as the lead vocalist.

Primo is a demo, and eventually become the song “I’ll Be Gone” off Living Things. However, the two songs are completely different, and whether or not you’ve heard I’ll Be Gone before, Primo is definitely worth hearing.

Hey iPod! I want so say thanks again for revealing LP songs and especially for Powerless and Victimized (finally i started to enjoy this song lol). Keep it up!

Didn’t try newest songs yet, but will do later this week for sure!

PS any news on Points of Authority? :haw:

Hey, thanks for the kind words! Reading this made me happy, and I’m glad I was able to introduce you to some great new songs! Unfortunately I don’t have any news for Points of Authority, but I can tell you two songs are coming real soon.

in reply to: Odd Audio Sync issue in Reaper #464196

I had somewhat similar problems, try installing an ASIO driver and using that as your audio driver in reaper.

I couldn’t resist releasing this song today
