I despise the present-buying obligation part of the holidays, especially when I’m expected to buy for “the people who have everything”. A friend of mine in university once told me her family solved that particular difficulty by drawing names. They then competed with each other for who could give the cheesiest/tackiest gift to the person whose name they drew. The results were apparently quite hilarious.
