• A new custom featuring the opening song from the anime, “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid”. Overall fun for the whole band, the Drums and Keys are pretty challenging, there’s some nice basslines throughout the song, and singing can leave you breathless, so I hope you all enjoy this one.

Expert Drums & Expert Bass was done by BravoGangUS. Expert Drums were reviewed by Nightmare Lyra.

in reply to: Reaper not exporting with partial measures? #486486

Not sure how you did it, but you have to change the time signature for these “partial measures”, otherwise your measure gets chewed up and it gets out of sync in game. (Place your cursor at the start of the new measure, hit T and change the time signature, maybe to 2/4 or something).

You have to redo the tempo map from that point and resync the notes you’ve placed manually. Or if you don’t want to do that, you can select everything after the time signature change and export the mid based on the time selection. Then you go back and do your changes on your tempo map and re-export the mid from the starting point of your selection.

A partial measure is added when you tick both boxes when editing the tempo/time signature marker: “start a new measure at # / #” and “Allow a partial measure before this marker”

A new beat was happening in the middle of a measure and it wouldn’t set correctly if I didn’t tick off both boxes at the time. So I guess I’ll just have to redo the tempo mapping i guess since there’s no real answer to my original question. But thanks for the advice; i’ll just have to avoid using the partial measure option

Nice run I’m glad you have fun with it. And yes you pronounced my name right

Thanks, and thank god xD I’m so bad a pronouncing names sometimes lol

That did the trick, added to my USB straight away without issues this time. Thanks for the fix

Gave it an attempt, really fun! Made me want to play it again immediately after tbh lol. Great job on this Linos

Seems the host is corrupting the con files. So I created a .rar archive and reuploaded them, so see if that works. Sorry for the inconvenience.

To whom it may concern, since my customs were hosted on KeepItFishy and that’s going down they’ll be hosted here for the time being

I’m having some issues actually trying to put your customs on my USB thru Con Tools. The parts and the full song just there “processing” but not actually doing anything. I even tried searching thru the File Explorer to find the customs on the USB stick i have and it didn’t work either (it got on the stick tho but didn’t show up in game). Files might be bugged? Not sure, any other custom works fine, just yours dont suddenly

Edit: i tried running it through the song analyzer and this is what I got

I think something happened when you transferred your files to the new host location, hopefully it’ll get fixed soon

It’s honestly thanks to you that I found The L-Train and his great music, and I was really hoping you were going to chart this; I’m surprised you managed as well with such a huge song too. I’m gonna make an attempt at this really soon and post it on my channel (hopefully if my guitar still works haha)

    Can’t wait to play it

I understand that you’re generalizing about this. But if you do find an offending pop-up, the nice thing to do would be to report it to the ones responsible for hosting said ads.

It’s one to avoid it altogether (with mentioned ad-blocking plugins and download scripts) and leave a website to rot, but it’s better to bring up the trouble with the one pulling the strings.

I would but it’s literally everyone that uses Mediafire that I download from. Like, anytime I’m brought to mediafire at all i get a pop-up

If you think that wasting people’s time by not reading the rules is the best way to go and people should be all happy to deal with someone who can’t be bothered to read or learn but that will ask others to read and learn and then explain, I’m pretty confident you won’t find a welcoming environment on any forum.

I’m gonna be very forward: this community is a ton of work to sustain, admins are few and we all have busy lives. If you intend to make our lives harder you won’t be posting for long. And if you think we are all such bad persons who are mean to each other I suppose we would only do you a favour not subjecting you anymore to this hellish place.

I’m more or less talking about the people who post about having a problem they cannot find a solution to.

It’s as basic as: “Oh jeez, I’m having a very specific problem and I can’t seem to find a post with the solution that I need, I’ll post something myself then”

Someone responds almost always negatively and rudely, which I don’t see they had any reason to when the person posting just needed an answer.

    Eh.

I authored a bunch of customs. I converted a bunch of GH songs. I have spent thousands of hours creating the tools used by most authors. I still spend my time helping farottone moderate these forums.

And I still provide ad-free hosting for the files :smug:

Most customs authors could use Dropbox, which is ad free and usually one-click link. Only very few people NEED the extra space of MediaFire, and those have been offered ad-free hosting space on my server as a thanks for their contribution to the community. More than a few of those people who have been offered ad-free hosting space have refused it and chosen to stick with MediaFire :bang:

I can get the extra space needed, for sure. It’s just the annoyance of the ads and the problems it could cause. Like, not everyone fully understands how to avoid these problems still even now in 2017; or some, like myself, just refuse to use ad-block for one reason or another (or didn’t even know it exists or don’t know how to install it).

Whole point of this post was just to try and suggest an easier and safer solution for uploads for those unaware about ad-ware issues and sites like mediafire.

in reply to: Don’t Use Mediafire… please. #480597

I do have to agree, I’ve seen some folks go a bit too far when it comes to telling someone to read the rules. Won’t name names or anything, but it seems that some folks expect everyone to know how forums work, when in all actuality not everyone does.

On subject, I’ve had that issue with Mediafire with the pop-ups, even using ad-blockers. As thus, I switched to Mega. Only then Mega seemed to be inaccessible to a lot of people in Europe it seems. Eventually I got access to my keepitfishy database back and just started using it to save everyone the headache.

I second the DropBox suggestion. It seems like the easiest option for sure. If you have way too much for that, though, there’s Google Drive as well, though I’ve never personally used it for anything other than documents, so can’t attest to how well it works.

This is a proper response from someone that’s gets it; thank you.

I’ll have to also look into Google Drive or Mega too since everyone mentions that.

Of course some people are real dicks, I won’t give any name because I have no idea who on this forum is concerned. I was not trying to make you angry in any way, I’m just considering reading the rules is one of the must-do things to know the do’s and don’t’s of questions to ask, just so you’re sure

And as such, you refer to them the rules and end the thread there. Easy done.

in reply to: Don’t Use Mediafire… please. #480572

(Sorry to butt in but this bugs me)

It’s most likely that you qualify as “dicks” the people who answer to people who have not read the rules, just like any place with rules: People won’t be nice with you if you don’t respect them or at least read them

See? That’s straight up dickatry right there. Not everyone who comes here with curiousity knows about your “rules” for one reason or another. Some people straight up have legitimate issues (some that I’ve personally had myself because I couldn’t figure out what my problem was) and the posts I managed to find that had an answer for me, the responses to the OP who was innocently asking for help was being bitched at for your “rules.”

All you’d have to do is refer to the answer they seek or the rules that are posted (just in case they were unaware for whatever reason) and be on your way, not treat them like dirt. If they respond like shit, then yeah go for it. But I’m just saying for those that just post because they can’t find the answer themselves.

Forums aren’t easy to navigate for most people, exactly why I hate using forums. This site is an exception just because of rock band

in reply to: Don’t Use Mediafire… please. #480569

You should go with Mega, no ads. Though I have adblock so there might be some, but it will never be as bad as Mediafire. You get 50gb with a free account, and I have never gotten a copyright notice, and I’m using Alex’s account which has most of his songs, not a single copyright. It’s less salt and more like friendly sass.

Eh.. Idk. From pretty much most of the posts I’ve seen around here, lots of people are pretty much dicks towards everyone, even those who are seeking assistance or advice. Either way, sass or not, it’s mostly always negative lol

in reply to: Don’t Use Mediafire… please. #480567

I have 15.9 GB of customs on my MF. So dropbox can suck it. Lol.

Well you can pay for unlimited space, 2gb is just the free max limit; it’s also a personal folder you can just drag and drop to on your computer or mobile device, so it’s more convenient imo.

Didn’t realize so many ppl on forums were so salty lol
