Some quotes from the reviews…
“I’m excited that Harmonix is committed to the platform, and can’t wait to see what the team adds to the game in the coming months.”“The fact that the game will get new content means it’ll keep getting better. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next.”“I downloaded some old DLC, and discovered that they added Harmony vocals to some (all?) of the older songs. I didn’t even hear about that during the build up to launch, so that was a total and welcome surprise.”“Rock Band 4 is a perfect introduction to video games and music-gaming for me. As a new fan of Rock Band…”Obviously trying to hide the fact they worked on the game.http://www.drumshop.co.uk/collections/e … l-drum-kit
That KAT KT1 might be a good option, claims to have MIDI output
Not to worry. Can you recommend a Roland kit at the £400 mark?
Thank you, sir. And that definately includes the TD-TKV (which by all accounts is usb only?)
Godammit! Back to the drawing board.
fwiw, I did indeed look at the manual, but I’m utterly clueless as to what I’m looking for. Presumably, anything with USB is a no-no then?
Regarding the TD-TKV the only thing I can find is this page
http://translate.google.co.uk/translate … rev=search
, which when translated into english reads…
“All you will need is the Pro Midi apapter of Mad Catz, with this adapter you can connect your battery to your console, all models of V-drums are compatible, from the HD-1 to the TD-20KX !”
I just need confirmation and I’ll pull the trigger on an order
Ok, last one ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

Would that one work with the midi adapter?
http://www.dawsons.co.uk/yamaha-dtx400k … l-drum-kit
Would that have the same issue?
Excuse my ignorance
Yeah I saw that, presumably I’d need the PC to be next to the xbox in that case?
I do have an aging PC setup next to the xbox, so hopefully that would be up to the task.
Would something fairly budget, along the lines of this suffice?
I don’t know why there’s a tendency to make things more difficult. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> Use one stick for your customs account and if you ever encounter the 256 songs bug just use Horizon instead of Party Buffalo or viceversa, and that will solve the issue. Been doing that since the beginning and I only had to redo my stick once in 3 years because the drive deteriorated. My problem is I haven’t a clue how to use Horizon!
I only know how to use partybuffallo due to the extremely well done tutorial vid on this site.
Am I right in thinking that the ‘transfer’ usb stick will not need to have any title updates or anything installed, as it is literally just used to move files across.
What I mean is, I’ve got a spare usb kicking around, can I format it, stick the raw files on and then transfer via the Xbox interface?
Just thought I’d update this for anyone having the same problem now or in the future.
Basically, I just took all the songs off the stick and started from scratch with a new stick. Problem now solved.
Well thats a relief of sorts, at least I won’t have to start purging the collection. I just wish something somewhere would throw up an error. At least I’d know what the problem is then!
