The issue you might be encountering is that the Xbox file system doesn’t like spaces and certain characters. So if you renamed the song name without taking into account the Xbox file system limitations the Xbox just isn’t seeing the song to load it. Use Batch Renamer as Spindoctor recommended.

You hit the nail right on the head. Batch Renamer was the solution; it fixed everything within a couple minutes. I appreciate the help from you guys.

Thanks, I’ll give it a shot. But would you know why the game wouldn’t read half of the songs after most of them were renamed?

One more thing I thought of asking about the songs loading on the game: I did have a problem a while ago where the game froze every time, so I did delete the cache and let it rebuild again, which solved the problem. However, now when the game loads, it loads all 2500 customs as “Loading New Content” every time, as if I just imported all the customs this time. I was used to putting the flash drive in, turning on the game, then the downloaded content would load (all 2500 customs) and THEN the new content would load (which would be the newest batch of songs I added). So when in the game, I can sort by Date Added, and all my newest songs would filter up. Now, it loads all songs as new content every time so I can’t sort by Date Added.

 

I know it has something to do with the cache. Is there supposed to be a song cache file on your HDD AND the flash drive, or just the HDD? I deleted the cache years ago but didn’t run into this.

When I load up the game, they load fine. It’s just now for some reason on my computer when I go to add new customs through C3 Con Tools, it never stops loading to put new songs on. It just spins and spins and spins. Usually it stops after five minutes and then it will let me import the new ones.

 

I’ve never tried the content/914 folder way; I’m not familiar with it but I might look into that if it’s easy enough.
