Denuvo is an interesting take on DRM, and I personally think it won’t be completely broken anytime soon (As opposed to partial cracking, which is what crack groups are currently doing). That said, I doubt HMX will get enough money to fund the port AND get Denuvo on it, it’s pretty pricey. And on a final tangent, I believe RB3 got partially cracked until the group working on it just stopped (the main belief was a C&D, but noone really knows).

I wonder how confident they are about their song encryption…I bet music labels would throw a hissy fit if the stems from RB were decrypted in, like, an hour after being made available as DLC…

Actually, it seems the Xbox One DLC prices are the pre-sale ones, the Xbox 360 DLC is still the sale price (and of course buying the 360 DLC songs entitles you to the One DLC songs)

A little off-topic, but this seems to be the most active RB4 topic: has anything substancial been said about the single player mode? As it stands, it’s the mode I’m most interested in, but there’s almost no info I can find about it.

 

Also, it may have had a full GH release, but don’t discount the power of Van Halen in RB…

To this day, my biggest achievement in this series is being able to full combo sync [N7] on demand despite struggling with most 5-level IIDX songs.

To be perfectly honest, I’m waiting to see what single player modes RB4 has before getting onto the hype train. With RB3 I get it out for get-togethers and nothing else, so I’d hope RB4 wouldn’t be more of the same.

Now that I’ve had time to think, will GHTV require a permanent internet connection, or there will be an “offline” mode of sorts with just the on-disc songs? I ask because the (little bit of) multiplayer footage makes it look like it happens in GHTV, but if online is required that would be a huge turnoff for me.

So, how is this game gonna work on the 360? There’s 2 FMV per song, and unless the setlist is tiny or they compress the hell out of the game’s main visual draw, it’s not going to fit on a standard 360 disc.

Welp, now I don’t know what game I want…to be honest, I’m more of a Guitar Hero, Single Player guy, but I was gonna get RB4 for the promise of DLC. But now I see GH is going in a different direction, I’m not so sure I want RB4…
