Rock Band 2 can have customs on it (with working multiplayer too!)
They’re kinda hard to find because you can’t search the database for just RB2 customs, so I don’t have links… sorry ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
As a huge Foo Fighters fan, this has to be my favorite album so far. Every song is great!
Didn’t really enjoy Sonic Highways when it came out, so I’m glad they had a different approach with these songs.
In short, 8/4 doesn’t exist. “But…”, no it doesn’t. “But…”, no, the melody can be spread over 2 measures, there’s no need to extend a measure just because the melody seems to cover 2 measures. “But…”, no, probably only ultramodern avant-garde music justifies irrational signatures and you’re not authoring Philip Glass. “But…”, no, Rock Band does not give a crap about time signatures except for when the measure should end (mostly for drums, for OD activation) and for OD in general, which is set by BEAT. “But…”, ok, I’ll bite: name me the most recognisable piece of classical or modern music that officially (meaning the original sheet music says so) is in 8/4.
Also, the longer the measure is, the harder you need to work to tempo map the song, because if you extend the measure so much, you can’t use Q anymore because it would cover effectively 2 measures and the tempo map will be imprecise.
If you believe this about 8/4, whats your opinion on 12/8 compared to 6/8? You can use your same argument towards 12/8, but yet I’ve seen many original classical songs written in that time signature.
I do believe 8/4 exists, it’s just completely useless when writing because it over-complicates things that doesn’t need to be over-complicated. The closest thing I would call 8/4 that I could find is Blur’s “The Universal,” but all of the sheet music written for it is in 4/4 (possibly due to what I said before, just easier to read 4/4)
EDIT: Sounds like I’m coming off mean, I’m actually just interested in your opinion and saying my own. Sorry if it does come off insulting.

Oddly enough, I did that before I posted this, but I wasn’t signed in at the time. Now that I am, I’m getting an entirely different set of results, which is likely why I missed it. Weird… glitch, maybe?
You have to start the search off the main homepage, not like a thread or something like that.

I’d recommend doing searches like that to find old customs next time.
Jazz doesn’t really work to well in Rock Band because of the focus of offbeats and syncopation. Just what I’ve noticed whenever I play a jazz custom.
I don’t really think so, but it would defiantly be cool. The switch is being advertised as a party system, and rock band fits that description pretty well. I don’t really expect anything big out of the rock band IP anymore, however. I hear rivals didn’t do as well as harmonix hoped, and rock band VR is expected to do poorly. Idk though, anything can happen.
I like straight up sheet music for learning how to play a song versus Rockband. That being said, Rockband does help out from time to time.
You need to be disconnected from the internet to play customs.
Not to sure. Whenever I get a weird error in magma I don’t understand, I like to open a new reaper project with the C3 template, move the clean tracks from them that I need to the project I’m working on, and paste all the notes from the old tracks to new and replace them. Other then that, not sure what to do.
Color doesn’t matter. What are your settings when exporting the midi? Should be this (ignore output place):
Do you have this under guitar, bass, and vocals?
If you’re still interested in doing hooked on a feeling, I wouldn’t mind charting the drum part.
Hey ok, so a random and maybe stupid question.
But wouldn’t you in theory be able to make a 2x bass pedal Harmony update?
Like updating all expert charts to 2x to the songs which have it of course. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Just a random thought.
Greetz. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
Technically yes, I believe. However, changing an official rock band song in a way that can effect the leaderboards is against the rules, and adding double bass would definitely effect leaderboards.
