You drop the CON file on the main screen of C3 CON Tools (or on the icon for C3 CON Tools) and it’ll open up. Then drag the replacement png_xbox file to the corresponding field. It’ll ask to overwrite, click yes. Then click Save. That should be it.
Ah yeah, that’s the window I remember… thanks!
Quick question – how do you change the in-game album art in an existing custom? I used to do it all the time, but C3 CON Tools is so full of features now that I’m a bit lost!
I’m thinking I need to use some combination of the Batch Extractor and CON Creator now, but I’m not sure.

My dream scenario is for an RB2-style situation with the DLC. Where stuff that comes out for the new game still works on the previous game, just without a marginal feature or two (e.g. RB2 songs in RB1 that had missing HOPOs). Assuming the generational platform jump will make that impossible though. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />

June 14, 2014 at 1:05 pm in reply to: “Customs Outhouse” Nov 23 2020 A major upgrade and a 15 pack of new songs #422523What’s the deal with Slow Ride? I understand that it’s a convert from a pre-“full band” title, but it appears to have a vocal part with a difficulty of zero in-game, although no lyrics appear. Just wondering if it’s an issue on my end, or if there was just a mistake in the file and it should really say “NO PART” for vocals.
In any case, thanks for all your work. I’ve downloaded a ton of stuff. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
June 14, 2014 at 12:54 pm in reply to: CAT reductions and other updates thread September 11, 2014: Insane Clown Posse fix (50 songs total) #422522Venice Queen still sounding way too loud for me. I know I’m using the updated file now because it had the fixed album title. Might not seem noticeable at first because the song takes a while to build up to full volume – but once it gets there, yikes.

The vocals in “Coma White” seem very loud compared to the other parts of the song. Is this the case for everyone else, or might it just be an issue on my end?

A single-instrument song is by definition a single-player song, a point that often gets lost in the shuffle. Single-player Rock Band and multiplayer Rock Band almost feel like different genres of game to me. They will share an audience to a degree, but also develop very different audiences. People on every side need to respect (not necessarily accomodate and satisfy in every way, but definitely respect) that.

I was just checking the .DTAs of the songs I re-downloaded (I always do, to make sure the song ratings mesh with my own sorting system) and I noticed that the RHCP tracks still have the old album titles. Are you sure all the links in the OP are pointing to the fixed files?
