It looks like ^ ^

This is a total guess, but I’m guessing it’s somebody with an anime-themed profile picture. Possibly since I just associate those ^^ eye-shapes with anime characters. Don’t know who it could be though. Possibly atupomaruru? Or AFJOne23?

I might be way off, but those are my guesses.

That’s a good idea. I was going to do 6 beats, but I didn’t think to make the downbeats louder. Thanks!

Never mind, I fixed my problem. I believe it was being caused by the track starting with an overdrive phrase, since removing that seemed to fix it.

I can’t say for sure without knowing the song, but generally speaking, when it comes to short, fast syllables that start with a consonant sound (such as “the”), the note should be short, but you can chart the initial consonant sound. Otherwise, the note is usually TOO short, which can make it difficult to hit.

I figured out what was wrong. There wasn’t two tracks named HARM2, but the HARM2 track event wasn’t at the beginning, it was a few ticks to the right. I didn’t even realize it until I zoomed in ridiculously close.

Whoops, I misread it. C3 Roks Edition v3, and here’s the MIDI file: http://www.mediafire.com/download/9mjelcwan40a2kk/Shake+Tramp+RB3+Custom.mid

in reply to: Help with Magma error? (note outside of lyric phrase) #474343

H3 does not have phrase markers. Check again RBN docs for authoring harmonies phrases.

Thank you, it’s working now! This is my first time trying to chart harmonies. I didn’t look at the RBN docs since I just assumed that charting harmonies worked the same way as charting main vocals. I appreciate the help.

in reply to: Exporting Harmonies #473296

If you’re updating a song that was in your cache before adding instruments / harmonies, you’ll need to delete your cache, or rename and re-ID your updated custom.

There we go, it works now. Thank you!

in reply to: Exporting Harmonies #473294

There is no “PART” in the titles. This is what the tracks look like in REAPER.

However, the solo vocals track is called “PART VOCALS” and that works just fine. Maybe I should add “PART” to the track titles?
