I can play them along with every other piece of official DLC I’ve ever downloaded.

I’m kinda hoping for some new song announcements.. I mean It’s cool and all that we know 10 songs from the setlist, but Guitar Hero has announced what, 90 songs now?

I think the number is 44 now isn’t it? Plus 1500 more existing DLCs.

My wooden strats still live on. Sunburst for the 1st floor of my house, Cherry Red for my ground floor where we do parties.

Do you live in France or something? ‘Cause here in ‘merica we call the ground floor the first floor. :c00l:

Stage Kit means the MIDI adapter is in, I believe. They are clearly working on a way to make any peripheral compatible, not specific ones.

I read their announcement more along the lines of happily discovering that the Stage Kit will probably also just work when/if they get targeted legacy controllers (MPA I’m assuming) working, not that they were purposefully setting out to make the SK and all legacy controllers working.

In any case it is fantastic news.

Too many songs that are amazing with Keys are going to feel hollow without them – I mean, what are Sympathy For The Devil …[snip]… without the piano?

Uhhhh, “doesn’t totally suck eggs on guitar” maybe? That custom is so sparse on guitar that it plays like keys on half the first two tiers of on-disc keys songs. It should either have not even charted guitar and put the solo on keys, or else charted those keys to guitar.

    All IMNSHO, of course. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

I used to read a sports game blog and the guy got hooked on Guitar Hero 1 ans 2. Since I was on Xbox I couldn’t play it, but it sounded awesome and I was fascinated by the total time-suck the game placed on this blogger I liked reading. I get a respite for my jealousy when GH2 finally came out for the 360, and I stopped by a Circuit City on my way home from work on what I didn’t realized was release day for the game. I was lucky enough to snag the last guitar bundle they had, and the rest is history. Been hooked on the HMX games ever since as I transitioned totally to Rock Band when it came out and only played GH3 a couple of hours.

I would say Talk Talk sort-of has half a song in the game. Harmonix released No Doubt’s cover of “It’s My Life”, and it’s actually a pretty decent cover for anyone wanting the original.

I am normally very opposed to cover versions that just play the song straight without “making it their own” or doing something interesting or different. I mean, why bother? Play it live if you love it but don’t bother releasing the same thing.

That No Doubt cover is my exception to the rule as I love that version too. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

I don’t remember if I inject the folder or if I control-A to “select all” from the file view, but I inject multiple files in one swoop. I also have RB3, RB2, and RB1 folders setup where I put 250 files max each to avoid the Party Buffalo 256 file bug since I wasn’t able to get Horizon to run the one time I tried it.

I keep my stick customs in a directory on my computer’s hard drive because I’ve had my USB sticks go tits up a few times. That way I’m just a single folder injection away from a full recovery.

Keys are fun, but they were in no way a deal breaker. I’ve known how to play the piano since I was younger, and my drive for keys in RB was never that high for some reason. Felt different playing on there, and the interface just didn’t sit well with me.

Agreed 100% about keys. When they were announced I was excited and pre-ordered the keys bundle, but it just never did it for me.
