Stand by. Let me see how my SD card looks. I didn’t use Code Downloader, first of all. The Rock Band 3 text was created by Stack himself, so that’s why you won’t see it on a database, per se.

One of the options (on the main list of Rock Band 3 codes to activate) should have been ‘[1] Generate GCT file’. I’m assuming you are doing this step, yes?

That should be all you need to do. Alternately, get rid of your existing GCT file so the program can create a fresh one.

Assuming the program is going to create one from scratch, here’s what should show up (using mine as an example):

      /txtcodes/SZBE69.TXT

      [sZBE69] Rock Band 3

      Scan Item List…

      $Max Songs Limit is 3000 …[OK]

      $Fast Startup …[OK]

      Generate GCT File…

      $Max Songs Limit is 3000 …[OK]

      $Fast Startup …[OK]

/codes/SZBE69.gct generate OK! Press any key exit.

Alright, So I got it running, I missed adding a codes folder for the file to go in. Opened up the game and I had 1008 songs <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

I have confirmed that Stack’s gecko cheat for Max songs is 3000 works in Neogamma. I’m currently at above 1300.

Give me a moment and I can link you to the code and details that worked for me.

EDIT: Here we go. My definitive Neogamma guide from August 1st 2015, complete with the Max Songs 3000 cheat and enabling such. Hope this helps: http://customscreators.com/index.php?/topic/14630-how-to-playing-customs-on-wii/?p=119551

Alright Sin, I have the Cheat Manager and Code Downloader in my folders but I couldnt find the Rock Band 3 txt in there so I copied and pasted it from the post and made the txt file.the three codes pop up and I hit + to activate them. I tried the Fast Startup and it says:

        /txtcodes/SZBE69.txt

        [sZBE69] Rock Band 3

        Scan Item List…

        $Fast Startup…[OK]

/codes/SZBE69.gct can not open! Press any key exit.

Now I’m guessing that the codes haven’t been made to work since all it really lets me do is exit out without saving anything. Any idea what I can do to get the gct file to be made??

Hey everyone, I went searching but wasnt sure if I could find the answer I was looking for. I finally hit the 1000 cap and I got the message in game. Now I’m not using an emulator, i’m running the game off the disc in the system from Neogamma. How do I bypass the cap?

When I try to load a MIDI for a song that I just compiled I get an error that pops up saying

Found a [verse] event in the venue. Must be a RBN1 venue, which is not compatible with this tool.

Now I know where the practice events go and I double checked and there isn’t a [verse] event in the venue track. So i’m not quite sure what it’s referring to.

I can’t tell you how much Stack, Sin, Nemo, all of the people in this forum have helped me. I still have questions about all of these customs and I’m still learning as I go along. Couldn’t do it without any of this. I was actually ready to get rid of Rock Band until I found this site. I owe my repeated play of Rock Band in the last two years to C3, Just wanted to express my feelings for everyone since somebody had to put a damper on the forum. I love you all.

Can you try downloading RockBiink again? I’ve made a few changes to how DTA updating is done and maybe that will solve the problem you’re having.

Worked like a charm Stack. I just need to work on getting the files small enough. They are wicked huge. If you have any ideas that could help shrink them, I’m going to need a hand with the Dream Theater songs A Nightmare to Remember, The Best of Times (which is almost there) The Count of Tuscany and The Shattered Fortress.

Did you go through the nand folder?

I never use FSToolbox anymore, You should really use WiiXplorer r259. You’ll need FileZilla but it’s also a free program. http://www.mediafire.com/download/12lq33t21w3n59d/R259.zip

No, this is the only song in the folder. I think converted down it’s somewhere close to 37 MB, so I really have no room to put anything else.

I can’t quite reproduce this exact problem. I got other errors though. But I find it odd that the Output Name is still the default even after you supposedly loaded the DTA. If you drag and drop the DTA file onto the box, do you get the a dialog box asking you to pick the song? I also found it odd that this one custom had a # symbol in its name, which may or may not throw things off. So you may have to edit the DTA and remove that symbol from the name. It’s at the top of the DTA.

You might not want to get rid of backing either, so it may be complaining about that too. A period character may or may not also be causing issues, so if you could also try loading the DTA from your desktop to see if that solves the problem.

Ok, so I did see the # in the DTA and I changes that to the file name thebestoftimev11x to match everything else. Dragging the dta into RockBiink gives me no errors and i get the dialog box to pick the song. . I put all of the files in and go to generate the RAD batch and I get the same error that I posted above.

Ok, So I changed the folder name and it stilll isnt generating. This picture has RockBiink open so you can see the file strings and the DTA string is the same as above.

Altrght so the path that is being used is

                                “C:UsersSpenserDocumentsRB3Wii-DLC-Packer2.100_00000000_thebestoftimesv11x_metacontentsongssongs.dta”

Now, I can’t find any spaces in this chain and I’m still getting the same error when it’s trying to load the dta file. Now I opened up the window that pops up for more info and it said something about JIT Debugging. Would that change anything?

http://www.mediafire.com/view/0nzzgsz44ia82o1/Capture.PNGMake sure you’re using the latest version of RockBiink. Also make sure you have RAD Video Tools installed. Newer versions will require you to select the binkc option. Also make sure you have QuickTime installed.

Alright, I had the beta and everything worked when I didnt have anything in the Update DTA. When I did I had this error. http://www.mediafire.com/view/0nzzgsz44ia82o1/Capture.PNG
