Hey everybody.
Edit: I’ve started charting some stuff myself, and some others have picked up the slack too! I’ve added Strikethrough text to the songs in my original thread that have been done. Here are all songs completed so far:
I See Stars:
Judith Rules – Probably my top pick for this band. This song has everything. It’s great! AlexTaylor converted a chart for this that I didn’t even know existed! Go check it out! http://pksage.com/ccc/IPS/index.php?/topic/13822-alextaylors-convertscustoms-i-see-starsghost-brigadefixes/?hl=%22i+see+stars%22
Murder Mitten – I ended up charting drums for this myself! Go check it out in the database! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> http://pksage.com/ccc/IPS/index.php?/page/index.html/_/murder-mitten-r10211
Digital Renegade has been charted by AlexTaylor. Will be posted in his next update. Check his thread here: http://pksage.com/ccc/IPS/index.php?/topic/13822-alextaylors-convertscustoms-i-see-starsghost-brigadefixes/?hl=%22i+see+stars%22

Edit: Farottone kindly pointed out this next paragraph implies people who chart don’t have lives. Just want to clarify that’s not what I mean! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> I really do hope to be able to chart my own stuff at some point, but until then I figured I would reach out to the community with some suggestions. Anyway. I’m not an ungrateful and/or inconsiderate jerk! I promise! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
Original Post:
Someday ultimately I hope to be versed well enough in the whole process to start generating my customs. But between work, family, being a Dad, forcing my introvert self to interact with my friends, and self education, I don’t have a whole lot of time to dump into learning how to chart songs from scratch (let alone putting in the time to practice enough for them to actually be good.)I primarily play drums, but am good enough at Guitar/Bass to enjoy it. I 5 Starred TTFAF in the GHIII glory days, but once Rock Band 2 came out I kinda put down the “axe” and picked up the sticks with my IONs, and never looked back. If a song is charted with Guitar only, I usually won’t pick it up. Drums only is fine, and obviously Full Band is preferred. Also 2x Bass Charts are more than welcome, as that is primarily what I am trying to improve at right now. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
This requests thread serves 2 purposes in my mind.
1: It acts as an actual requests thread, if anybody would like to pick something up and run with it. I would be ever so grateful!
2: It’s somewhere I would like to put down songs that I feel would be fun to play, and assuming nobody else picks them up, maybe will chart myself someday.
So without further ado:
I See Stars:
Any of this bands songs would be great, really, especially their New Demons album is top notch. That being said, that’s a large undertaking. So I’m going to do a “top 3” list for each album below:
New Demons: Honestly, I would take/love to chart every single song on this freaking album. It’s just that good.
Who Am I – Another really great track!
Youtube:Digital Renegade: This album actually has a few releases on RBN already, so that’s great! Too bad they’re not 2x Bass versions. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
I feel that the tracks below would make great additions to the RBN songs.
Gnars Attacks – Opening track for the album. I really like the buildup in the beginning and then how hard the song hits from there on out.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyWPQ9e2XJQ&list=PLHfip83g7hJsMk6p5xACslcklN8FxVR0I&index=1Underneath Every Smile – I really like this track. Partially because it’s somewhat personal to me and partially because it’s just great music.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlWCYQt487Y&index=5&list=PLHfip83g7hJsMk6p5xACslcklN8FxVR0ISummer Died In Connersville – Starts with one of their more “upbeat-positive” sounding sections on this album, then shifts over to the darker tone. Still, Pretty refreshing. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZ38ilvOOFs&list=PLHfip83g7hJsMk6p5xACslcklN8FxVR0I&index=8Bonus – This Isn’t A Gameboy – This track is technically a bonus track that also appears on a remix album. Pretty good stuff.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJ_wdy3IObABonus (Remix) – Filth Friends Unite (Celldweller Remix) – Filth Friends Unite is available on RBN. This is actually a remix on the Renegades Forever remix album though, and it’s arguably (in my opinion) better than the original. Would love to see this charted!
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_fX5OvRnyUThe End Of The World Party: A little bit of a “brighter” album than the 2 that have come after it. Still great stuff!
The Common Hours II/Where I Let You Down – This song is great. I also love the way it leads into Where I Let You Down. Perhaps it could be a double track? Or even both singles and doubles? I don’t know.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ezQTQVdIHQ&index=8&list=PLHfip83g7hJsOTCbWL5odanPpemffEUQeGlow – Love the intro on this song, and it sounds super fun in general!
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CacOre8U-I&list=PLHfip83g7hJsOTCbWL5odanPpemffEUQe&index=10Wonderland – Just another great song on this album.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3D8TK4Z0PI&list=PLHfip83g7hJsOTCbWL5odanPpemffEUQe&index=43D: This album already has “What This Means To Me” available here: http://pksage.com/ccc/IPS/index.php?/topic/12624-nyoxides-customsconversions-68-the-ghost-inside-vocals-fixes/?hl=%22what+this+means+to+me%22
Project Wakeup – Solid opening track. Good stuff.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6n1ZPv-oUY&list=PLHfip83g7hJueT6CpZYHjfCnaF6EhNigV&index=13D – Also good. I don’t have as much to say about this album but they are good songs!
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vECj25zfdOI&list=PLHfip83g7hJueT6CpZYHjfCnaF6EhNigV&index=3The Big Bad Wolf – This song took awhile to grow on me, but it eventually got there!
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJFUEdfuyAI&list=PLHfip83g7hJueT6CpZYHjfCnaF6EhNigV&index=6(it says it’s another song, but they got them mixed up during upload.)Bonus – Sing This! – This song would actually probably be most fun on Vocals lol. But I could see the drums chart being pretty great too! Not sure about the guitar..
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPu8U6Gs4gs&list=PLHfip83g7hJueT6CpZYHjfCnaF6EhNigV&index=9(same as above. They mixed up during upload.)Thrice:
Thrice is actually my favorite band ever. They are unfortunately criminally under appreciated and only ever saw one release as DLC (Image of the Invisible) and only a couple of customs have shown up online (Digital Sea, which isn’t charted super well. Artist in the Ambulance and Stare at the Sun, which are great songs but also very mainstream, so that’s not surprising.)
If their entire discography was available I would download it and play it. That being said, that is a huge undertaking for a band that many people may not care for as much as I do, or even know about. I’m going to list off my top 3 from each album/EP (I’ll try to limit it to that…no promises though lol) and then also mention the songs that are available elsewhere that could perhaps be converted.
For this band I’m going to put favorite albums at the top and go down from there, rather than worrying about doing any chronological (or reverse) ordering.
Vheissu: Next to Blink-182 (Smiley face album) this is my favorite album ever released. I could listen to it for days on end without getting too bored or upset by it. I would play through the entire album constantly if it were available.Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tRSGfBt1Vk
The Weight Of Glory –This is technically a bonus track, but it’s so good I have to put it here. It’s too good. I love it.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XF7mDbiDMmAHold Fast Hope –I love this song. There are actually other songs on the album that I love more, but I think this one would go well on all instruments where others might have some lacking parts. The Earth Will Shake –Can’t leave this one off the album…
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7bxjDGbrLIThe Illusion of Safety: This album actually took me awhile to get into. Oh how wonderful it is though. Easily one of the focal points of post-hardcore. I personally believe it helped define the genre for the 2000’s.
To Awake And Avenge The Dead – Probably my favorite song off this album. Still a staple classic at many of their concerts.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ritQndSQuusWhere Idols Once Stood – One of the only songs left on my bucket list to see them perform live. I won’t be surprised if I never do, but this is easily one of my favorites by them!
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OycIjK5feDwThe Red Death – Almost like a pre-cursor to Where Idols Once Stood. I love this song as well.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVavQpndcGMCan’t have those other 3 without mentioning…
Deadbolt – A longtime fan favorite. You won’t see Thrice in concert without hearing someone yell “PLAY DEADBOLT!!!” This song is actually available in Guitar Hero 5. I believe it was on disc but also exportable. I have the track (on my xbox) but have no idea how I would go about converting it. If anybody else would like to do that or teach me how, that would be awesome!

Guitar Hero Guitar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3QViDD7luk
Note: this song is technically “available” here: http://www.keepitfishy.com/customsrepository/but from what I remember either there were no drums charted, or they were charted badly.
The Artist In The Ambulance:Many people know Thrice because of this album alone. It was their Major Label Debut and the natural progression of The Illusion of Safety. Many fans dropped off after this album because they changed a bit, but there aren’t many Thrice fans that don’t like this album. New fans and old fans alike.03/02/2016 Update: The entire album is done! Mostly done by me, with a few people helping here and there. Grab it here: http://pksage.com/ccc/IPS/index.php?/page/index.html/_/the-artist-in-the-ambulance-r11624
Blood Clots and Black Holes – This song is tied for my favorite Thrice song with Of Dust and Nations. It would make for an excellent chart across all instruments, as well.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6q7dXRIJycPaper Tigers – Probably the hardest song on this album and one of the best for sure.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCUSzSProPwCold Cash And Colder Hearts – Opening track on the album. Hits hard and fast. Would be super fun on drums, probably on Guitar as well.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOLxfDeBMZo
Honorable Mentions:Silhouette – This song has been played live and nearly every Thrice concert since it was released. It’s definitely a favorite and would be fun to play if for no other reason other than just because it’s super easy to get into.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t32x-jI7_js
The Melting Point Of Wax – Great instruments across the board. I think Guitar especially would be fun on this song.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gk3Y_HBK9jA
Hoods On Peregrine – A personal favorite of mine. I especially love the drums on this track.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbyGsL_VGoUAlready Available:
Stare at the Sun (has syncing problems and wrong cymbals/toms charting, but it is available)Artist In The Ambulance:The Alchemy Index: Fire+Water: I got into Thrice around the same time they released these EPs, and they have remained a constant favorite of mine. Fire would go really well with all instruments for most songs. Water is a little more of a stretch. Hell, the entire Fire EP would be absolutely excellent.
FIRE:
Firebreather – This song is so great. Really excellent across the board. Big. Heavy. Excellent.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzX-fkAtIQ0The Messenger – Hot off Firebreather, this track kicks you in the face. Also absolutely excellent, if maybe just a little too short.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Spe3mAN-Y9IBackdraft – Kinda creepy sounding and then gets right into it. Really an incredible personification of Fire.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEhTbP4HVVsThe Arsonist – This song was available as DLC in Guitar Hero III, so that chart is technically already done. Another excellent song.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2HKZyIDFKk
GHIII: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsIZjdY488wBurn The Fleet – If I could only choose one song off this EP for drums, it would be this one.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZemZP2_QBpkThe Flame Deluge – This song would be excellent if for nothing other than it’s drum progression. Even though it could be the same thing literally over and over, there are a bunch of little variants that could make it fun to play. It’s also relatively short and would probably be super easy to chart.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZahXI5sDq8WATER:
Digital Sea – This song is actually available here: http://www.keepitfishy.com/customsrepository/but in my opinion the drums aren’t charted very well and I haven’t played the other instruments. I’m not sure how well this song even fits in Rock Band tbh.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdMbqtG8HvcNight Diving – This is an instrumental that I absolutely love, and it would go well on every instrument in my opinion.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0COXExyRCFQThe Whaler – I’m struggling to see how this could be charted on Guitar at all. It seems like it’s mostly synth/keys and drums. Still, the drums would be fun, and it has great vocals (especially the harmony at the end) so I’m putting it down.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvYmxHN4z7kThe Alchemy Index: Air: Earth is also technically part of this “album” but falls lower on my list of favorites, so I’m going to put Air here, and then get to Earth later.
The Sky Is Falling – Man, this song just sounds like it would be SO fun on drums. Had to put it down!
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iw_JIuzingDaedalus – This is essentially “The Melting Point of Wax” part 2. It tells the Daedalus side of the Icarus story. Very cool and very fun sounding on drums.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyYNHK6ZUlYSilver Wings – This song sounds like it would also be super cool on drums, though like The Whaler I don’t think there would be much/any Guitar or Bass to chart. Mostly drums, synths, and vocals. Still. It’s one of my favorites.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRgEcm8h0koOther Thrice Songs: Everything else I would want to specifically request I feel like can take a little less focus/reasoning, so here goes:
Beggars Album:
All The World Is Mad: (available on GH as DLC)
Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zY3souYjIF0
GH: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcUxP5WMGY8(terrible quality unfortunately lol)

LIVE RENDITIONS/SONGS: I’m including these because some of the older songs are even better re-imagined live later in the bands career:
Deadbolt (Anthology):
To Awake And Avenge The Dead (Anthology): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7BXc465SF0
Phoenix Ignition (Anthology):Artist In The Ambulance (Anthology): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tv3rDbbdtfg

Eleanor Rigby: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAhFUXOxm_w
Helter Skelter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DN20FjpeCHc
I Want You: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4oxlU8DSR0Okay okay OKAY I’m done. Sorry. I got a little carried away there with Thrice… Moving on.
I’d like to finish up/fill the gaps with the Blink-182 Smiley Face album!
We already have so many of these songs, it’d be sad not to finish it up. As far as I’m aware, the following songs are not available in Rock Band: Songs in red NEED to be in. The rest are somewhat negotiable I suppose…

Stockholm Syndrome
The Fallen Interlude (Travis’s drums on this song are so freaking awesome)
GoAsthenia
Easy Target
All Of This
Here’s Your Letter
I’m Lost Without You (DRUM SOLO AT THE END. No idea how that would be charted though, since it’s 3 drum tracks overlaid on each other)Speaking of Blink, the following would also be nice:
Snake Charmer (available somewhere on the forums… but had issues with syncing and was missing the outro to the song, unfortunately. I still have the rb3con though if anybody wants to take a shot at it.)
Kaleidoscope
Fighting The Gravity
When I Was Young

Thanks for being such a great community to be a part of so far, and I look forward to sticking around for awhile!
November 18, 2015 at 11:12 pm #459472I am working on a few Thrice songs. Should have converts and maybe a new one out soon.
November 18, 2015 at 11:13 pm #459473And one of these days I’ll get the whole Ocean Avenue album done. That’s a project I want to work on.
November 18, 2015 at 11:16 pm #459474Well that’s the best news I’ve heard all day! If you want to tell me which ones you’re working on I can make a note in my giant post above haha.
I also just checked out your thread and I’ve downloaded a few of your songs already! Just decided I need to get Cute Without The “E” though. Not sure why I didn’t grab that before lol.
November 18, 2015 at 11:20 pm #459475There are a lot of songs in this thread I’d love to see done, though if I had to pick favorites I’d go with Senses Fail and Yellowcard. I remember when I had a drumset years ago I’d blast tracks from Ocean Avenue and had a great time trying to play along. I’d enjoy playing those in a RB setting and reliving the nostalgia.

Thanks for picking that up. Hope you enjoy it! I have a few more TBS songs I want to do.
November 19, 2015 at 12:17 am #459479Oh and the Thrice songs are Deadbolt and All the World is Mad. I also have Artist in the Ambulance with separated stems so that should happen soon.
November 19, 2015 at 5:50 pm #459526Hey everybody.

O.O that is totally NOT what I meant. Omg I feel super bad and self conscious about that now!!
I mean yes I have a life and it’s crazy but I really want to try and get into charting if I can manage it. I dumped a whole weekend into the stuff a couple weeks back. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
Sorry for coming across like a complete douche!

Are these going to be converts or charted from scratch? Just curious!

November 19, 2015 at 9:53 pm #459538Deadbolt and All the World is Mad will be converts with the appropriate adjustments on drums and bass. Artist will be done from scratch.
November 20, 2015 at 3:46 am #459554+1 one for anything Celldweller. UNforunately he never had enough exposure in RB community.
