Use version 4.22 to avoid that, 4.22 is much better for authoring anyways

 

As for nightmarish charting situations, I would have to say to have worked on a chart for a while, only to get into the “Reaper crashes on undo” glitch and then having to redo loads of stuff

Since I updated to Windows 8 it never happened to me once, maybe it’s a system-related thing.

I take my editing several places, so I have the same files at different locations.

 

Home computer

Laptop

Work Computer (for breaks or down time)

Flash Drive (transferring between them)

 

I know one day I’m going to clean up some extra files and accidentally delete the recent version of a song without checking. I almost lost my Clockwork Angels progress but I caught it before I deleted it.

I once dreamt that I released “Shoot to Thrill” by AC/DC, and for the the whole second half of the song I didn’t chart the snare drum. It was just kicks and cymbals for like 2 minutes. I didn’t realize this until a few days later. People were making fun of me for messing up. Both here and in person. It was awful. I may never do that song now out of fear.
