Wow, that’s a tough one with only 10 since my setlists are usually in the 20’s. I’ll do only one per band. I should look at my most played, but I’ll try and go by memory.

    Imagine Dragons – Radioactive

    The Killers – Human

    Arcade Fire – Rebellion (Lies)

    The National – Bloodbuzz Ohio

    Rush – Working them angels

    Radiohead – Reckoner

    Oasis – Stand By Me

Phil Collins – In the air tonight

    Tool – Eulogy

My Morning Jacket – One Big Holiday

So many great songs I had to choose between. This community is amazing. I’ll have to ask my girlfriend for her 10 favorite songs (with female singers).

I would be interested to see a list from Farottone himself. You put out such a variety of songs/genres.

lol @ the thought that C3 authors have time to play songs they are not playtesting.

Haha, I could have guessed this would be your answer. I think since you started this thread you should at least list your top ten played custom songs that are not in playtesting!

At the moment it’s a rather conventional, pop-oriented list I feel. But there you go.

        -Queen-Take my breath away

-Nina Simone- My baby just cares for me

        -the Beatles- Drive my car

-the Rolling Stones- Start me up

-the Kinks- All day and all of the night

        -Electric Six- Maneater

        -Muse-New Born-

        -Arctic Monkeys- Brianstorm

-Marvin Gaye- I heard it through the grapevine

        -Michael Jackson- Thriller

I want to sneak in an honorable mention for Lipps inc. – Funkytown.

(Top tens, forcing to choose mumble grumbleimpossible crackle crackle darn kids these days-crackle crackle-darkness)

I’m more of a prog fan but I do like my variety in music. I play drums primarily with a little dash of guitar once in a while. Without further ado……

          1. Dream Theater – Learning to Live. I always wanted to play this when Rock Band was in its prime. Imagine my hype when it was released this year. It is 11:31 of pure joy for me; from the melodic parts, emotive crescendos, even to the last 3 minutes where it really tests my strengths on drums (still can’t perfect it but still enjoy the ride.)

          2. Dream Theater – Metropolis Part I. While Learning To Live is a steady ride with it’s ups and downs, Metropolis start off slow but races ahead quick. One of my guilty pleasures to play over and over.

          3. Rush – Time Stands Still. My favorite Rush song, glad I get to pretend I am Neil Peart.

          4. Huey Lewis & The News – Heart & Soul. I don’t know what it is about this song but it is just great 80’s music.

          5. Badfinger – Baby Blue. Yes, Breaking Bad solidified my liking of this song but I do love some great classic rock.

          6. Powerglove – Mario Minor. I dig my video game remixes and this is the top of my list. For a drummer it really tests your reflexes and skills.

          7. Blue Oyster Cult – Burnin’ For You. Again, classic rock is a big staple of my setlist.

          8. Pantera – Cowboys From Hell. When you want to just rage and throw your sticks around Pantera is a good dose of medicine for you.

          9. Metallica – Master of Puppets. I guess I like long enduring songs. This brings me back to my youth.

          10. Dream Theater – Under a Glass Moon. What can I say??? I really like this album.

          – Madonna – “Ray of Light”

          – Tegan and Sara – “Closer”

We usually play 7 song sets, but I had a hard enough time getting this down to my favorite ten songs.

            1. AC/DC – Night Prowler

            2. Some Might Say – Oasis

            3. Forty Six & 2 – Tool

            4. William Shatner – Common People

            5. Primus – Wynona’s Big Brown Beaver

            6. Metallica – Nothing Else Matters

            7. Butthole Surfers – Who Was in My Room Last Night?

            8. U2 – One

            9. Guns n Roses – November Rain

            10. Rush – Xanadu

              1. Derek and the Dominos – Layla

Guitar throughout is spectacular, and having it’s own track is sweet. That ending solo sends shivers down my spine every time. Plus, you know, Goodfellas.

              2. Electric Light Orchestra – Sweet Talkin’ Woman

Superb on both guitar and drums. Even though I don’t sing, the vocals are great as well. Gotta love that “epic” drum solo too.

              3. Johnny Cash – Hurt

By far my favorite Cash recording in the game. (Those shoddy ’80s re-records just don’t cut it). The piercing piano and Johnny’s sandpaper voice nearly brings a tear to my eye. I can’t hear this song without thinking of his death. As if those were the last words he ever spoke.

              4. Matchbook Romance – Monsters

This track was on the soundtrack to Madden ’07, so naturally it got stuck in my head. When I played it in Rock Band, I realized how much I love the guitar track. To me, it’s one of the few songs that I enjoy playing more than listening to.

              5. My Chemical Romance – Dead

As much as I usually cringe at this type of music, there’s something about this track that makes me always enjoy playing it. It might have started from it being one of the tougher songs on GH2 I could actually do really well on back in the day. I love the guitar track, and I’m glad it got the C3 treatment.

              6. Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell – Ain’t No Mountain High Enough

Now I’m not usually one for playing bass, but I can say without a doubt that this song has my favorite bassline of any custom. I’ve played it probably a dozen times, only on bass. Is it fun on the other instruments? I don’t care. That bassline is what dreams are made of.

              7. Oasis – Some Might Say

I’m a pretty big Oasis fan (as you may be able to tell from some of my customs), and thankfully Guitar Hero took care of this one for us. Before I got into customs, this song was one of the only reasons I would still dust of GH:WT every so often. The guitar is just a full on ear massage.

              8. Oasis – Don’t Go Away

Now this was one I wanted in the game so bad, I had to go out and do it myself. As is the case with many of the band’s tracks, the points of importance come from the Gallagher brothers. Liam really belts out some heart-wrenching lyrics written by Noel. Once believed to be about their hospitalized mother, but later denied, the song has a very somber tone and it’s mix of acoustic and electric guitars really make for a great sound that I was happy to chart.

              9. Van Halen – Panama

I could have put any number of Van Halen songs on here, but Panama is just all around great. Eddie’s guitar, Mike’s bass, and Alex’s drums are all magnificent, but Dave’s vocals can charm the pants off a horse. If you ever get a chance, listen to his isolated vocals on the song and tell me those aren’t the greatest noises ever to penetrate your ear-holes.

              10. AC/DC – If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)

Where would my list be without these guys? This track is one of the most energetic and heart pumping rock songs known to man. Phil blasting the drums, Angus shredding the guitar, Bon squealing out the vocals, Cliff playing the bass. If you go through the four and a half minutes of this song and don’t come out with liquid rock flowing through your veins, don’t even bother checking your pulse buddy, cause you’re already dead inside. Might as well head over to song requests and start pleading for some John Mayer.

*Honorable mention – All other AC/DC.

              #426746

Let’s see if I can do this from memory.

              1. John 5 – Black Widow of La Porte

              2. Metallica – Trapped Under Ice

              3. Dethklok – Murmaider

              4. Amon Amarth – Asator

              5. Buckethead and Friends – We Are One

              6. Buckethead – Jordan

              7. Slayer – War Ensemble

              8. Pantera – Cowboys From Hell

              9. Kenny Loggins – Danger Zone

              10. Temple of the Dog – Hunger Strike

Can you tell I’m both a metalhead and a guitarist?

Are we allowed to put songs we have authored ourselves on the list, or would that be a bit too egocentric?

                Alright, in no particular order:

-Primus – Wynona’s Big Brown Beaver

                -Nightwish – Nemo

-iwrestledabearonce – Ulrich Firelord: Breaker of Mountains

                -Led Zeppelin – Immigrant Song

                -Weird Al – Eat It

                -WoodenToaster – Beyond Her Garden

                -Cradle of Filth – Nymphetamine

-Buckethead & Friends – We Are One

-Daft Punk – One More Time

                -Korn – Y’all Want A Single

If I based the list on what my friends and family picks though it would be all Abba, Adele and Rush

This is a tough one considering my setlists are HUGE. But usually if I do a 10 list it would usually be…

                Team America-America , Fuck Yeah

                Scorpions-Rock You Like A Hurricane

                “Weird Al” Yankovic-Albuquerque

“Weird Al” Yankovic-Dare To Be Stupid

Eric Cartmen-Kyles Mom’s A Bitch ( This a currently in progress custom from me )

Guns N’ Roses-Live And Let Die

                Gigakoops-Good Grief

                Judas Priest-Hell Bent For Leather

                Wild Cherry-Play That Funky Music

                The Buzzcocks-What Do I Get?

Unfortunately the songs I play most often are not my “ideal” set-list (I host too many parties!) however there are a few regulars on my list…

                1. Oasis – Stand by Me

                2. Bon Jovi – Dry County

                3. Metallica – Unforgiven

                4. Guns n Roses – November Rain

                5. Metallica – Nothing Else Matters

                6. The Eagles – Hotel California

                7. The Verve – Bittersweet Symphony

                8. Devin Townsend Project – Juular

                9. The Wonders – That Thing You Do

                10 . Creed – My Sacrifice

Of course, I would imagine a lot of these lists are subject to change.
