Based on the customs you like to play more, what is your ideal songs setlist (maximum 10 songs)? They can be any custom, C3 or independent but they need to be customs. Let’s see what you like to play.

August 7, 2014 at 12:03 pm #426515Cool thread! my list:
1-Onedari Daisakusen/Akatsuki/Gimme Chocolate/Yon no Uta(Babymetal) because…Babymetal.
” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_emot-3.gif” />
2-Cradle of Filth-Her ghost in the fog (Love this band since the 90’s)
3-Dimmu Borgir-Kings of the carnival creation.(Nightmare Lyra’s Black Metal selections make me happy)
4-Any C3’s Pantera song (but mostly from the Cowboys from hell album)
” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
5-Any Metallica from the first five albums(All nightmare long is pretty awesome as well)
6-Any Guns N’ Roses C3 Custom(Since you covered my two favourite albums;AfD and UYI1)
7-Several songs from The Guitar Hero Time Machine by Nunchuck and Spindoctor because nostalgia is a great factor to be considered.
8-Almost forgot Slayer’s Angel of Death, although it breaks my fingers.
9-Any Queensryche or Mr.Big because they’re great fun to play.
” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
10-And last but not least Any silly, cheesy internet song,or famous/party song because they’re so much fun to play with people.
August 7, 2014 at 1:55 pm #4265211.- World’s End Dancehall/wowaka ft. Hatsune Miku & Megurine Luka (Might just be my most played song on RB3)
2.- Levels/Avicii (Love this song)
3.- Orpheus/Ash (Quite the fun song, this one!)
4.- Bad Apple!!/Masayoshi Minoshima ft. nomico (Not quite my favorite Touhou related song, but since my favorite has not been charted, this will do)
5.- Master of Puppets/Metallica (A real classic!)
And that’s it, I usually try to play different/new songs each session, but these are more or less my current staples.
August 7, 2014 at 3:08 pm #426528There are so many good ones, it’s hard to only pick 10, but these get a ton of plays with my group. In no particular order
1: Aldo Nova – Fantasy
2: Crash Test Dummies – Mmm Mmm
3: Mr Big – Wild World
4: John Fogerty – Deja Vu This whole pack is awesome
5: Goo Goo Dolls – Name
6: Tesla – Love Song
7: Tal Bachman – She’s So High
8: Skid Row – 18 & Life
9: ACDC – It’s a Long Way To The Top
10: 4 Non Blondes – What’s Up
I would be interested to see a list from Farottone himself. You put out such a variety of songs/genres.
August 7, 2014 at 3:15 pm #426530I’m in. I’m just gonna construct this using the C3 Database for reference. Not including GH converts.
Crush 40 – Live & Learn (2x Bass)
Innerpartysystem – Don’t Stop
Ian Dorsch – Zero Punctuation Theme (2x Bass)
All That Remains – The Air That I Breathe (2x Bass)
Bullet For My Valnetine – Hand Of Blood (2x Bass)
All Time Low – Umbrella
Jun Ishikawa – Green Greens
Blink 182 – Reckless Abandon [sO hard to pick one song off this album, the album could be my 10 songs lol]
The Devil Wears Prada – Still Fly (2x Bass)
Less Than Jake – All My Best Friends Are Metalheads
Some Honorable mentions:
Simple Plan – I’d Do Anything
Ylvis – The Fox
DJ Snake – Turn Down For What
Wednesday 13 – Buried By Christmas
So I’m primarily a drummer. I sing periodically, I can also play guitar. I don’t play keyboard.. just never got into it. It collects dust in the corner. Poor keyboard.
August 7, 2014 at 3:30 pm #426533Anonymous
1. PrinceWhateverer – Taking Flight
2. Metallica – Master of Puppets
3. Van Halen – Hot For Teacher
4. Metallica – One
5. Avenged Sevenfold – Buried Alive
6. Metallica – The Unforgiven II
7. Genesis – Mama
8. PrinceWhateverer – Good Time (ft. DreamChan)
9. Forest Rain – Great to be Different
10. PrinceWhateverer – Between Fairytale and Happy Endings
On Expert Guitar. First four are extremely hard songs. Five I can gold star. One more I can play without failing (if No Fail Mode is off).
Kinda not ideal though.
August 7, 2014 at 4:40 pm #426546Man, I have a feeling I’m going to be too conventional (old?) for this crowd. I play guitar and sing harmonies, and my wife (lead singer and diva) and I are firm advocates of the power ballad, folk rock, and electronica. I’m going to limit this list to customs, but RBHP has made a lot of old songs new again in our household, too.
1. Muse – Uprising. Really any Muse would do here just to inject the proper energy into the evening.
2. Metallica – One. Suitably pumped up, my wife will insist on playing this song and then explaining (again) the sad, sad tie-in with Johnny Got His Gun while I attempt not to fail during the solo (“so sad, so beautiful” she will remark, over and over, as I break a feverish sweat and develop early-onset arthritis from the hammer-ons).
3. Forgot About Dre – Dr. Dre featuring Eminem. We have now reached the part of the evening where we pretend we are not two of the most WASP-y humans ever to grace God’s green earth.
4. Macklemore – Thrift Shop. Fortunately, Macklemore likes to pretend that, too.
5. Radiohead – Reckoner. “What about Creep?” my wife will say. I am unyielding, defending In Rainbows for the four thousandth time. She remains unconvinced of its awesomeness.
6. Lumineers – Ho Hey. Somehow I manage to mess up the order of “hey” and “ho” fifteen to twenty times despite the fact it doesn’t change once during the song. “Ho! Ho! Crap!,” I will shout inexplicably, like a mall Santa that can’t remember his script.
7. Simple Minds – Don’t You (Forget About Me). My wife sighs and rolls her eyes but I am not swayed. No harmonies but I sing along anyway with enthusiastic and dramatic bodily emphasis that I assume looks incredibly awesome. “Are you having a seizure?,” my wife asks with legitimate concern as I thrust my fist in the air and freeze. I add sunglasses and a trenchcoat to the family shopping list.
8. Cure – Lovesong. “Where’s Pictures of You? Where’s Close to Me? Where’s Disintegration? Where’s Fascination Str…” I hit start before my wife has a chance to list every song in the Cure discography. “Time to sing, babe!,” I say, nodding towards the television.
9. Eurythmics – Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This). Crap. I can only list 10 songs? This could be anything at this point. GNR, Cyndi Lauper, Michael Jackson, Portishead, Phil Collins, Gary Jules…I’ll give Ms. Lennox because the harmonies are so freaking fun.
10. AWOLNATION – Sail. According to my wife, we are contractually obligated to end every RB night with this song. I’m really not opposed, but I wish I could do it without my brain yelling “SAIL!” at me sporadically throughout the day over the coming week.
August 7, 2014 at 5:21 pm #426553Awesome stuff.Ha, epic rundown mcatrn! A man who has a RB wife is a lucky man.
My own list is slightly biased and not nearly as humorous or interesting as mcatrn’s:
1. The Rolling Stones – Brown Sugar – Yes, I know it’s technically a song I charted (with CrazyCanuck), but the main reason I even started authoring was to get more Stones into Rock Band. This song was at the top of my list and I’m so proud and excited to have it in my library I have to play it every time I boot up the game.
2. ZZ Top – Sharp Dressed Man – I’ve loved this song since I first heard it in all of it’s PC speaker glory in Space Quest 1. One of the top 5 riffs in Rock n Roll, easily.
3. The Donnas – Fall Behind Me – Another one of mine but I love me some Donnas. Grrl Power!
4. KT Tunstall – Black Horse and the Cherry Tree – It’s tricky to play on my chosen instrument of guitar, but for some reason I love her voice.
5. SnappleMan – I Could Be Banned Soon Trigger – I think video game music translates well to RB, and this one is just an epic metal version of some of my favorite boss ‘wave’ music ever!
6. Journey – Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) – A great closer. Journey songs are always fun to play but this one is just so ‘big’ that it feels more awesome to play, especially with my band.
And that’s it. Why only 6? Because that’s usually how I do a setlist; 6 songs with 2 female-fronted songs in the middle, ending with an epic closer.

Espher is busy with RBHP, preparing to run an RB3 station for a convention this weekend, and lacking sleep due to sweet headache action and thus has not done hints.
But one of those songs is from this week’s release, yes.
August 7, 2014 at 7:07 pm #4265658. Cure – Lovesong. “Where’s Pictures of You? Where’s Close to Me? Where’s Disintegration? Where’s Fascination Str…” I hit start before my wife has a chance to list every song in the Cure discography. “Time to sing, babe!,” I say, nodding towards the television.
there is a custom of Fascination street, floating around on this site somewhere. I can’t remember where : ( I haven’t had a chance to play it yet, so I can’t speak to it’s awesomeness or lack there of.
August 7, 2014 at 7:10 pm #426566I would be interested to see a list from Farottone himself. You put out such a variety of songs/genres.lol @ the thought that C3 authors have time to play songs they are not playtesting.

August 7, 2014 at 7:27 pm #426567Ha, epic rundown mcatrn! A man who has a RB wife is a lucky man.No question. In football terms, I have significantly outkicked my coverage.
6. Journey – Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) – A great closer. Journey songs are always fun to play but this one is just so ‘big’ that it feels more awesome to play, especially with my band.As my wife would say, “Where’s Lights? Where’s Faithfully? Where’s Wheel in the…”

Since the harmonies are indispensible to our house band, sometimes we’ve had tough luck with non-official releases. Thanks for the heads up!
