August 25, 2014 at 2:03 pm #427877Wireless Fender bass is definitely worth it, if you’re the kind that likes upstrumming. But if you prefer playing bass more like guitar, and having an actual whammy bar (not a knob), stick with a guitar.
Thanks. I think if he still has it on payday, Im going to pick it up! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
September 11, 2014 at 1:29 pm #428932Not quite the score TrojanNemo had, but I just landed a still-in-the-box Rickenbacker yesterday for $40 on Craigslist. Keep an eye out!
September 11, 2014 at 2:52 pm #428938next on my list is to get the War Beast and then mod it to use it on the Xbox
I had the very first Xbox modded Warbeast converted by Doc himself, the strum bar contacts were soldered in upside down so I still have to open it up and re-solder those but it’s mainly for show anyway.

September 11, 2014 at 5:04 pm #428950I knowNever got why. We had big wigs at Harmonix superduperkindly giving us a shout out, what’s the problem with the modder extraordinaire?
November 8, 2014 at 7:08 pm #432486I got myself a wired Strat for $8 at the thrift shop. I have always hated this controller, but it’s good to have a guitar outside of my ancient, ancient PS2 SG to play FoF/PS with anyway. Gumtree’s supply is fast running dry, though, and I really want another RB drum set if only for another pedal.
November 16, 2014 at 1:51 am #432978Eck eck eck. I grabbed a GH3 Les Paul for $5 at another Good Sammy’s. I have always held the Les Pauls of others, but I was so looking forward to grabbing one of my own. Sadly, it doesn’t really work. The frets will occasionally completely lock up. One time, playing Scenes From An Italian Restaurant, I pressed the blue fret and nothing happened. Well, except for my combo breaking. What a shame.
November 16, 2014 at 2:01 am #432980That sucks to hear. I have like 4 of them and that’s because I stopped buying them at the local thrift stores. Usually find them at Goodwills for $5. But I had to stop buying guitars at some point
November 16, 2014 at 9:57 am #432989But I had to stop buying guitars at some pointI recognise this, even though my collection is nowhere near as extensive as yours is.
Last week I saw an online offer from a used gamestore, which had the Beatles Rock Band drums, a Hoffner, two mics and a double cymbal pack for €20,- (about $25,-).
I couldn’t resist, even though I bought a complete new Beatles set for €50,- earlier this year (again with the Hoffner).
Turned out I had to go to the town the store was in because the people running it found it impossible to ship.
I thought I was being lied to because someone had realised the price was too low (he would be right) or they had accidentally sold it.
But when when I got there it was in the store so I purchased the set which included another double set of cymbals for the agreed price.
With costs for public transport I got all of that for about €40,- which is about what I paid for a triple Rock Band 2 cymbal set.
Ho(a)rdak strikes again!
Now there are five drum sets (2 from Band Hero sets packaged with GH5 and WoR, 1 RB1 and 2 Beatles) and way too many guitars in my house.

One time, playing Scenes From An Italian Restaurant, I pressed the blue fret and nothing happened. Well, except for my combo breaking. What a shame.I have bought several of these used Les Paul guitars from second hand stores or garage sales, they all have the same problem. The detachable necks do not fit properly. Some are literally brand new. I googled how to modify a Les Paul guitar hero guitar. If you use a paper shim or good old duct tape in the right spots it works wonders and will create a tight fitting neck and a guitar that works great, the sticky buttons on mine got better as I used them more. I now have several backups ready for action.
November 16, 2014 at 5:58 pm #433010I heard you can solder the joints on the GH guitars as well but you probably won’t be able to detach the neck if thats the case.
November 19, 2014 at 8:51 pm #433164I’ve been on the search for a Guitar Hero controller because they work with GH2 and GH3.
Craigslist is cool though, a guy was selling the ION Drum Rocker /w 2 cymbals for $50. I instantly called him up and grabbed that deal.
November 20, 2014 at 8:45 am #433195Forgot to chime in, a few weeks ago I got a great-quality Beatles drumkit (minus the logo and legs/base, but with kickpedal) for $2. Thank you, flea market gods.
