This just started happening after I put the new Dream Theater release on my USB.
My 360 refuses to start the game, saying the disc is unreadable.
However, if I remove my customs USB, the game starts with no problem.
Anyone know what’s wrong?
Are you using the most recent Title Update, the Games On Demand version, or a copy of the game with a Madcats logo on the box? If so, then sorry to say, but customs won’t work. At least with the Title Update you can delete it, and download Title Update 4 (the most recent update that allows customs) online.
None of the above. I have an original copy I got at the game’s midnight release, and I’ve been using customs on it for nearly a year now.
First time I’ve had this issue.
Did you download the customs on Friday? If so, re-download them, since those releases got messed up in the process of uploading them. Maybe that’s the problem.
Nah, I just downloaded them today.
Delete the DT releases, see if the problem persists. If it then works, add a different C3 custom in and see what happens.
I’m pretty sure the DT files are fine, so my guess is it’s something on your end.
Disc unreadable is 1) the disc is damaged or 2) you’re using customs while on TU5. There’s no other alternative cause. It’s not caused by any one song.
Sounds like your USB stick is acting out. It doesn’t matter if you have 0 or 2,000 custom songs on your stick, the game starts anyway, it’s what happens on the songs selection screen that changes. Your USB stick is probably damaged or its content is and the game can’t run because some file it’s accessing (the cache, the savegame, other) is corrupted.
