Shit aye that’s a good point, I think I remember the program getting a little mischievous and noticing it was at one point set to “LIVE”, or I just imagined it. I’m away from my computer at the minute but I’ll test rebundling and making sure they are CONs.

Yeah definitely try that. Test it with a couple songs that you know didn’t show up, like A Punk. Whatever it is marked as currently, mark it as the opposite, then refresh the RBtoUSB tool and it will ask you if you want to move it to the correct location. Select yes.

Ok so I just double checked all the types, they were all CONs etc, kept retrying (moving them back and forth and checking the on the xbox) using both RB3toUSB and windows explorer and out of nowhere they suddenly appeared.

 

Don’t have a clue what could’ve been the issue, maybe RB3toUSB works different to simply moving the files to and from using windows explorer, but maybe I will use it from now on. It’s possible I had a couple in the wrong folder (like three were old RB1 type and the rest of the bundled ones were all RB3 [EDIT: I read that they could all go in the RB3 folder]), and maybe that made some others get mixed up and not appear, but I can’t remember

Thanks for suggesting RB3toUSB anyway, I was quite happy using the explorer (never a problem with customs) but I’ll probably stick with RBtoUSB for this, so there is no chance I’ll get the game folder types mixed up. Wish me luck with the rest of the upgrade

Absolutely last question….

 

Did anyone ever look at getting not exportable RB1&2 songs exported into RB3? This most likely falls outside of C3’s legal “scope”, but I thought it’d do no harm to probe.

 

Basically I’m just wondering since upgrades are offered for some songs which aren’t actually even available on RB3 (Dani California etc.) so I thought that a little odd.

 

Also, I noticed there is some DLC purchased on my brothers account on the Xbox (it’s his old Xbox) – I thought DLC was accessible for all users (did they change that?), but these songs won’t load in my RB3 and I’ve got that 20-free song pack staring me in the face.

Ok all but one file copied over from the LEGO Export. Swing Swing threw up a error when I try to copy from the USB to the Xbox Harddrive, something along the lines of “Can’t perform that action”.

 

I tried rebundling several times but nada

Dani California can be playable in RB3 if you upgrade to TU5 and then downgrade back down to TU4 without deleting your song cache.

 

The other songs are against C3 rules I believe.

 

For the DLC that doesn’t work, he’d have to do a license transfer to your console

Ah ok, his account doesn’t work, I think it was banned because his other xbox was chipped. I thought since it was possible to unpack and modify song data there’d be a workaround to change ownership. Now that I’ve seen I have the packs I’ll look at getting his account to work, thanks for the tip!

If the other Xbox was JTAGed/RGHed account will be banned,if it was flashed it should still be good. Discussing getting official DLC to work in any other way is against rules I believe so if you can get the account working its best to license transfer
