I’ve recently stumbled on a genre I’ve never heard of, Zamrock. it came out of Zambia in the 1970s and is an amalgamation of psychedelic rock and funk. The music has become my new favorite and has led me to stumble on some great songs for Rock Band. I won’t request too many, but I do recommend any one who enjoys the heavy riffs from the 1970s to go check it out. Well lets get to it then.

      “Fantastic Man” By William Onyeabor

Fun song that just makes you want to wiggle like a worm with it’s bouncy beat and it’s guitar that has the sounds of bees flying in reverse. There’s a keyboard to <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

“I’ve Got No Money” By The Peace

This is a nice slow jam with fun vocals that just tickles my toes, nothing other I can say other then I enjoy the relaxed feeling I get from it.

      “Khala My Friend” By Amanaz

Oh man… This song is the epitome of Zamrock, this was the first I heard of Zamrock and then forth I journeyed into the depth of the lost rock of Zambia. The song flows through the air like a gentle breeze and naturally your body begins to sway like the leafs on the trees and the grass on the ground. By the end of the tune you’ll wonder where you’ve been all you’re life, you are now completely present.

I do hope that one of you great charters will take up this challenge or at the very least pity me for my excessive addiction over this new genre, Haha. If neither happen let this be a fun journey through a new soundscape, Zamrock.
