Hi everyone! Can you please tell me where is best place to store boat on Lake Travis? I recently moved to the area and am just starting to get to know the local marinas. I want to find a place that is safe, comfortable, and where I don’t feel like an outsider. I am interested in covered slips, preferably with access to water and electricity so I can calmly prepare the boat for departure. It would also be cool if there was store nearby with basic things – ice, snacks, fuel. If you use marina and are happy, please share. And, by way, it is important that they have normal conditions for relaxing with family.

In the end, I settled on Sandy Creek Yacht Club https://sandycreekyachtclub.com/ – and have never regretted it. This is not just marina, but truly friendly community. The slips are covered, there is Wi-Fi, electricity and water. They even have shower and separate toilet for club members. Very clean, quiet and safe. The on-site store sells everything you need – ice, drinks, snacks. And the gas station is right next door, so you don’t have to make detour. They often host parties and get-togethers where you can meet other boat owners.

I also keep my boat at Sandy Creek. It’s a very convenient place. I especially like that you don’t just park your boat and leave, but you really feel like you’re part of something bigger. I even go there sometimes without boat – just to sit on the pier or meet friends. They have really cool social events, I even met people there with whom I now go out on the water together.
