I understand Americans thinking they don’t need to know another language because they can go everywhere in the world and speak their native language. What I never understood is the “lol listen to that guy, he’s talking gibberish!” attitude to people actually knowing more than one language.

Raised on English.. got most of it down.. always gonna be 1000 words i don’t know.. i can understand a little ghetto.. most of american.. except what ever a color is.. and i’m always trying to learn more Dutch.. i know the odd Portuguese and French words and phrases.. and i suppose i speak quite a bit of internet slang.. i think everyone here does, but it’s surprising how many people don’t..
