I am wanting to try to add vocal to songs with songs without vocal charts in them, i just wanna add the basic non pitched vocals, cant remember any songs with the type vocal tracks i am talking about , i know of one dlc song that has the type vocal track that i am refering to and it is the Red Hot Chilli Peppers “Give it Away”
is it relatively simple to add these type vocals to others songs on here that lack vocals?
what software/Programs would I need to aquire to do so?
I would of course aquire lyrics is songs that match with any particular song!
I wouldnt want any credit for the additions!
Anybodies help in this matter would be much appreciated!
Ps. I hope if i can learn this it might help me to get more involved in all aspects of Authoring with the goal of authoring s song of my own!
May 18, 2017 at 3:45 am #485190Im not really sure how to make the file I will be talking about, but here is what I do If I want to add non-pitched vocals.
I go to customsforge.com using Google Chrome (the custom song database doesn’t work with Internet Explorer.) It is a rocksmith database.
I see if my song is charted with vocals, and usually they are. Then I download the file.
Next i use the RocksmithGUITools from the same website and use the packer/unpacker tool to take the PARSC file and extract the chart notepad files and audio.
Next i use EOF (editor on fire) to import the guiar file (using Import Rocksmith) AND THEN the lyric file (Lyric Import)
What you do with the PRO guitar chart is up too you, but I personally just delete the contents.
The final step is to save the EOF file and take the MIDI, and put it into Reaper.
There ARE a few cons to this.
If the beat on the rocksmith chart is different from your REAPER chart, it will mess the lyrics up.
Sometimes, the authors do a pretty shitty job with the lyrics because they are just for detail, so they could be messed up as well.
Hope this is what you meant ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
May 18, 2017 at 4:55 am #485194No not rocksmith i need rockband info thanks tho!
i am just trying to add vocals to some of the customs on here that dont have any yet, so i have more options playing localy i have a large library of these customs on here and alot of em only have drums or guitar, i doubt i have the talent to make a pitched vocal chart, but i will try to learn it eventually!
May 18, 2017 at 8:07 am #485196He’s telling you how to take vocal charts from RockSmith customs and put them into Rock Band customs.
May 18, 2017 at 3:48 pm #485208Yeah; Whizzer’s right. Even though they are different games from different companies; music is still math and can be translated to every other games ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
May 18, 2017 at 6:45 pm #485219Ok i get that, i will give that a try.
i have gone to the customforge.com site and signed in and can not find the song database
Question is, is there a rock band program/tool made to type in lyrics and apply the basic vertical thick bars that match up to the lyrics?
May 18, 2017 at 7:28 pm #485223The program you’re looking for is called Reaper.
May 18, 2017 at 9:38 pm #485229Ok so reaper is 60$ to 225$
i am broke as hell and cant afford that, i guess i have gained even more respect for authors who have to pay for something to use it to make free stuff for us.
I know the programmers do hard work but to charge such an exorbitant price for a tool that is such a good thing to all who use its creations!
I wanted to become an author, but i will not fork out that much money, even if i was to only use it for my own personal use, again i praise all you authors who have been kind enough to make stuff for me/us to enjoy even though it costs you dearly to do it!
Maybe the program is so great it is worth the money… i dunno i will dl the trial version but i will likely be unable to learn to use even the smallest part of it before it becomes useless!
