Glad to hear.
I’d love to hear if there are any things that require immediate attention.
Good examples: volume is too low or too loud in game; one of the range markers on pro keys is at a place that causes notes to go off the highway; lyrics missing or with spelling mistakes
Bad examples: you don’t “like” the simple venues; you think the song names should be normalized (i.e. “the” and “a” and “for” should be lowercased, right now they’re exactly as in the game)
And since we’re talking about keys…how about that chord on Her Majesty? ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
November 8, 2013 at 6:21 am #409001So far I’ve played some singles and the Abbey Road album on Pro Drums. I didnt notice any mistakes as far as tom markers. To only be nitpicky I would say “Day Tripper” being a tier 2 on drums seems undertiered to me. The reason is the blue tom rolls scattered through the song are pretty tough to combo.
One suggestion is that there is a fast yellow tom roll on “Something” right when the guitar solo hits that kinda feels that it should be a swell roll. The blue tom rolls on “Day Tripper” kinda feel like they need those swell rolls as well but maybe they are too short to bother. Other than that great stuff so far and cant wait to play the rest.

November 8, 2013 at 8:32 pm #409034This is amazing. Thanks Nemo, your work is greatly appreciated.
Just one thing (because I’m currently away from my Xbox and unable to check) – has A Day in the Life been given a harmony part? Always annoyed me that Harmonix combined the two vocal parts into one.

If so I thought I changed the tier to 4 or 5 dots when I did that, i’ll check again. What tier did it feel like it should be?

i’ll take a look at those and see what can be done to improve them.

I didn’t add or remove any vocal parts from the songs. Can you point me to which part of the song the second harmony part should be in? I’ll take a look this weekend.
Keep the feedback coming guys, i’m making a note of all this and will eventually start making fixes, probably sometime this weekend or early next week.

There aren’t any places where two people are singing at once, but the song has more than one vocalist. John sings the majority of the song, and then Paul comes in with his “woke up, fell out of bed” verse after the big crescendo halfway through. But because the two of them never sing over each other, Harmonix charted the song as having one vocal part, when it’s actually a duet.

Yes! This needs to be addressed in my opinion.

I think the song you modified was “Paper Back Writer” as the original Harmonix chart was clearly undercharted. In my opinion I would give “Day Tripper” a 4 dot only because of the blue tom rolls make the song a bitch to FC(Especially the blue tom to yellow tom rolls near the end of the song).
I also want to mention that a friend of mine pointed out that the lead blue solo vocal part is omitted from the solo on Octopus’s Garden. I made a video yesterday of the song. Check out 1:50 in the video.

Just played Ticket To Ride and the game says its tiered 1 on Pro Drums. If you look at the drum chart it has fast blue and yellow tom rolls scattered through the song not to mention these red snare/blue tom quick blast beats. I would bump the tier to a 3 or 4. As far as making the fast tom rolls of this song swells is your judgement call.
“I Me Mine” is another song where its a judgement call if you want to add blue tom swell lanes to the fast blue rolls found through the song. Here is a video I made of the song. http://youtu.be/Yl7kNIx4cbc
“Let It Be” Is is just me or does this song have way too much overdrive? I realize that this wasnt a Harmonix released song but thought I mention anyway. The overdrive depletes very slowly too but that may be due to the slow tempo.
“Get Back” should not be devil tiered on drums. 4 or 5 at the most. The only songs that really deserves devil tier on drums is “What Goes On” and “I Wanna Be Your Man”.
November 8, 2013 at 11:11 pm #409047I just extracted the files from the A Day in the Life con with the intention of separating the John & Paul parts into harmonies, but then noticed the 12 audio tracks extracted from the mogg and became immediately confused. Making the harmonies part should be a snap, but figuring out where the audio needs to go when rebuilding makes my brain hurt.
November 9, 2013 at 2:46 am #409055OK, so I was able to get a load of the new stuff on except for Abbey Road.
It’s the same situation I had last time, except I know for now that with the exception of Come Together, I cannot get any of the other songs from Abbey Road loaded without it freezing on me.
And the strangest part is I’m not running out of space (40Gb of space left) nor am I getting close to the 2952 song limit (I have about 2800 songs).
So, I’m a bit stuck on this one.

It’s a zero-indexed ordering, so just line them up that way (e.g. the first track will be 0, second 1, etc). The drums are usually split by component depending on what was available, and the rest have left/right tracks (if stereo) or a single track (if mono). The last two tracks will be the backing track.

November 9, 2013 at 3:52 pm #409071Thanks for all the feedback. I’ll get through all that sometime soon.
I’ll take a look at the separation of vocal parts in A Day in My Life and re-upload a fixed version on the spreadsheet. You can use clintilona’s version in the meantime if you’d like.

Didn’t mean to step on your toes. It just seemed like a simple fix that I felt was a necessary for the song. I’d be curious to know if my version is right or not. I’ve not dabbled too much with assembling stems, but I think it turned pretty good.
November 9, 2013 at 4:06 pm #409073It’s no problem. If your version is good I’ll use your harm parts. But by compiling on my end I make sure to stay as close to the source audio as possible whereas your audio is a recompiled mogg from a compiled mogg, so there is a small loss in fidelity.
