November 1, 2013 at 10:55 pm #408775I guess I don’t understand why attenuation is a concern since the files from TB:RB were already attenuated by HMX to begin with right? Seems like the stems from TBRB should just be usable in RB3 without any altering (except for the backing track as you stated). I’m probably not taking something into account and oversimplifying
You would be right if there was a way to decrypt the official moggs, then we would have a 1:1 of the original audio from the game, and I could use the DTA attenuation values from the game to match and bam. That would be freaking amazing.
Unfortunately, as far as I and everyone I am in touch with is concerned, nobody has ever cracked the decryption in those moggs, so the audio files are believed to have been recorded inline with some dta editing. Can’t get into detail on how that is done, so please don’t ask, but the point is that these are as close to the original stems as I could get, but they’re NOT the moggs decrypted. If left as they are, they would most definitely clip in game. This method i’m using worked very well. All the initial tests were done and there were very few changes to make to the audio beyond the initial -3dB for all instruments.
With that in mind, this update is ready to roll essentially. All my initial tests are done, everything works in game, things sound good, things look good. Files are uploaded. I just got a couple of things i’m waiting on from some contributors and to figure out a new way to distribute them, since I won’t be using the old website links system anymore.
I am going to be posting the files individually for a couple of weeks as I’d like to get feedback from thorough playing of the songs as I obviously can’t do that for every song. Once I’m comfortable that I won’t have to do any more minor fixes, I’ll create another big package with all songs inside. Final file size was 1.5GB for the whole package, so not much more than the old package. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
November 1, 2013 at 11:28 pm #408776Looking forward to playing all of these songs again on Pro Drums. I’ll keep an eye out for any issues although I remember some people helped you iron out some pro drum marker errors that harmonix made on certain songs back when this project was in the xbox360iso forums. Didnt you make Paper Back Writer tougher than the original chart? Not that I’m complaining. I like the new chart.
November 2, 2013 at 1:49 am #408781I just got a couple of things i’m waiting on from some contributors and to figure out a new way to distribute themFor the record, my contribution will not be complete for a while. It’s been put on the back burner while I’m working on finishing some other things for C3 and the RB:HP. Sorry
November 2, 2013 at 1:56 am #408782Don’t worry, your potential contributions or the upcoming (?) keys contributions by Erniewan will be added when they are received. I meant more immediate contributions already in the works. I’m aiming for sometime next week, hopefully late Tuesday or Wednesday morning.
November 2, 2013 at 2:36 pm #408787Yup, definitely gonna work on more keys upgrades, but not for another week since I’m going on vacation.
November 7, 2013 at 2:32 am #408939UPDATE!
Here’s the update you’ve been waiting for!
WATCH THE TRAILER!
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/k5BKZJSHaOh4jy4SjQy
WHAT IS NEW?
– 11 songs have received keys / pro keys upgrades (see below for details)
– 3 songs have received pro guitar / pro bass upgrades (see below for details)
– 3 songs have received fully customized venues
– 19 songs now have crowd sing-alongs (have Crowd Audio enabled in the game, do well, you’ll have screaming fans!)
WHAT IS IMPROVED?
– all audio for all songs is fresh and attenuated to prevent clipping
– all count-ins were edited to be more audible in game
– all songs have preview times to match values in the game
– all songs have the exact album art from the game
– all songs have matching TBRB thumbnails, song ID, file names (to please the OCD in all of us)
ANYTHING ELSE?
– all songs that were only featured as 2/3 song combinations have now been separated into individual songs (are still available in their original form)
– Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band / With A Little Help From My Friend is now available as one song (previously only available individually)
– all songs are now offered as CONs rather than RAR files, so one less step for you
If that’s not enough for you, well sorry!
So, where do we stand?
All songs available in the game and as DLC are now available in unprecedented quality for RB3.
If you’re wondering which songs have upgrades, the spreadsheet makes it very clear: red = missing upgrade, green = already has upgrade, gray = upgrade not available.

Instead of the old website system, we’ve now moved to a much more accessible spreadsheet system. This allows you to copy/paste all the links into a text file which you can then feed to a mass downloader.

HUGE THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO CONTRIBUTED! IT WOULDN’T BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT YOU
This has taken a hell of a lot of work, and managing 82 songs (73 originals + the separated versions) to be consistent with each other is not an easy task. Nothing should be majorly wrong, but I expect to receive a few bug reports. I’ll keep fixing songs as the reports come in ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
I will not be posting a “big pack” download. I have already made it ridiculously easy for you to create your own packs using Le Fluffie. Use it if you want a pack, and that way you have it customized exactly how YOU want it.
Enjoy.
November 7, 2013 at 3:58 am #408944Thank you!!!!!!!!
Can’t wait to play these! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

November 7, 2013 at 6:48 am #408950Its gonna be worth it for the screaming fan girls alone. Incredible work TrojanNemo and crew!
November 7, 2013 at 6:51 am #408951Bug report 1: The link leads to a blank page ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
November 7, 2013 at 11:50 am #408955That’s a problem with your browser. Try a different one.
November 7, 2013 at 1:04 pm #408956Thank you. The hard work from all of you is appreciated.
November 7, 2013 at 5:26 pm #408966OK, magnificent job, TrojanNemo.
Although I’m running into a bit of a problem at the moment.
I deleted all the previous versions of the songs with the new versions from today, but every time I load the game up and it reads the new songs, the console keeps freezing.
I’m sure it’s because I’m trying to load a lot of songs, so I’ll try to put them on in small batches.
Anyway, I’m sure it will be worth it when it works because this is brilliant.
November 7, 2013 at 6:06 pm #408968I would say delete your cache too. You’ll lose the scores but it’s the only way to make sure you don’t have any conflicts. I have about 2920 songs, including all of these, working fine ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
November 8, 2013 at 1:13 am #408997Just got done playing all the songs that have added keys….and it was awesome! Great job everyone.
