I just redownloaded the 4 new songs (Back in the USSR, Don’t let me down, Maxwell’s silver hammer and Yellow submarine) but the game doesn’t recognize anything new; no keyboard option
December 25, 2013 at 9:04 pm #411206You have to rebuild your cache or the game continues to use the old dta information.
December 25, 2013 at 10:58 pm #411208We were playing RB customs this afternoon, and the “grace notes” that are in the verses of “Back in the USSR” for pro keys shouldn’t be there. Those notes are played by the left hand and you’d need some monster hands or super-human speed to be able to hit those parts one-handed. The chart is kinda whack because of it IMO.
I’m not trying to be ungrateful, I’ll just play that part two-handed. Just some constructive criticism, thank you guys for the work you’ve done with these songs… I’d help add pro keys to some of the ones left that need keys support (“Hey Jude”, “I am the Walrus” etc.) but I can’t view the tutorial video on how to do customs and couldn’t figure it out on my own.
December 25, 2013 at 11:09 pm #411209Those notes are absent on Hard difficulty, if you want to play it without them.
I actually moved the top note down an octave so that those extra notes would be in range and playable because I thought it’d be more fun than just the repetitive chords.
December 25, 2013 at 11:18 pm #411210That’s fine I’ll have to remember that, I just get annoyed when i run into a random chart that has two hands charted, since the keyboard only has two octaves.
December 27, 2013 at 6:40 pm #411258Well, here’s another update thanks to columbo777.
December 27, 2013 at 10:33 pm #411267Woo! Fantastic stuff.
January 17, 2014 at 3:59 pm #412382Last update from me. Erniewan sent me this a while back but I hadn’t gotten around to it. Enjoy.
January 17, 2014 at 4:29 pm #412387Awesome! Thank you.
Hope the other half of the medley is updated with keys at some point. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
January 18, 2014 at 2:13 am #412415I charted that one as a sort of retirement send-off for TrojanNemo, since it’s The End. Thanks for all your help, Nemo!
And this is probably a good time for me to branch to other bands besides the Beatles. I might chart one or two more TB:RB upgrades (I still have Revolution on my list, though I scrapped Lovely Rita because the pitches are between keys), but for the most part I’ll be leaving the remainder up to you guys. Don’t worry though, I plan on charting some non-disc songs in the future hopefully. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
January 18, 2014 at 2:30 am #412418Thanks for all you have done on these charts, Erniewan. Looking forward to whatever you have in store for us in the future! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
January 18, 2014 at 6:30 pm #412441thanks, Erniewan. Hope to see you updating Pearl Jam or Green Day songs (their last albums have keys)!
January 22, 2014 at 10:26 pm #412725was looking at the songs you guys have labbeled for getting keys treatment and i noticed I wanna be your man isn’t labeled. Theres a weird synthy sorta thing going on in the song most noticable during the end of the chorus. (Maybe some kind of electric organ?)
January 30, 2014 at 6:48 am #413150Hey guys,
Great job with the charts but I had a bit of a complaint with In My Life’s pro keys track. I haven’t played it yet but I saw in the trailer that the ending of the solo was charted as a gliss when it actually has black keys mixed in an A scale.
Here is a video just to show you guys ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
January 30, 2014 at 6:46 pm #413172I’ve played the chart, and I think the gliss is alright. For one, the part sounds like a glissando; George Martin played the solo at half tempo in the studio and sped it up to the one that we hear, partly because he couldn’t smoothly play it that fast. Even the man in the tutorial video is slowing down the part a little bit. Rock Band’s accuracy window is notoriously unforgiving, and scales down the keyboard are pretty hard to sight-read even without black keys in them, and when they aren’t going all that quickly (cf. the synth outro to “Fly Like An Eagle”). So while it’s a nice idea, re-charting the scale would probably just replace it with a bunch of “dinged note” sound effects.
