November 16, 2013 at 7:12 pm #409309I’m willing to chart Pro Keys for some of these songs! I don’t know what Erniewan’s working on, so I don’t want to step on his toes, but I could start with Maxwell’s Silver Hammer or Here Comes The Sun.
Sounds good. Coordinate with him via PM I suppose. I’m going to be writing a sort of contributor guide and add it to the spreadsheet later today with some guidelines.
Gotta say. I like the upgrades and all. Good work.
Glad to hear.
November 16, 2013 at 7:53 pm #409312…and I updated the spreadsheet to include a basic contributor guide.
November 16, 2013 at 11:43 pm #409323I’ve added them to my signature so hopefully that will reduce any toe-stepping.
November 17, 2013 at 9:19 pm #409352So I’ve started charting Maxwell’s Silver Hammer and I noticed that, in the original version, the synths are charted to the guitar track, while the piano is in the backing. So I have two choices on how to chart the Keys, and I figured I’d ask for the community’s input.
The first is to chart the piano and only the piano for the whole song. This is easier for me to do, leaves the existing “Guitar” chart intact, and means that nobody has to fiddle with the audio tracks. However, the Keys chart will be more repetitive and the guitarist will be playing the wrong noises for half the song.
The second is to chart the synth lines where appropriate, which is more realistic and more fun for the Keys player, but requires a lot more audio to be re-cut. Plus, the guitarist doesn’t get as much to play.
Thoughts?
November 17, 2013 at 9:40 pm #409354I would prefer the second, tbh. Guitarists can always play the standard keys part too. I’ll probably have that sort of conundrum when I work on When I’m 64.

November 18, 2013 at 5:22 am #409368Im ok with either one. Without knowing what it sounds like at that part, I would say go with whatever is more accurate. Just make sure to remind me that the guitar difficulty will need to be changed when the chart changes.
November 22, 2013 at 4:14 pm #409543Any new Beatles songs for the 50th anniversary of With the Beatles and the 45th of The White Album? ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” /> I’m working on two, but I didn’t get to finish them unfortunately.
November 22, 2013 at 4:24 pm #409545Not that I’m aware of. Sorry!
December 8, 2013 at 7:38 pm #410386I tried some of the new updated songs with keys (Sun King/Mr. Mustard, With a Little Help, and While My Guitar) and I found that they were stuttering (when the song freezes mid-song and starts again). I play on the Wii and I’ve had that problem with some previous customs, and Koetsu (StackOverflow) had mentioned that he thought it was because of the audio being high or too many stems or something like that. I honestly don’t know how to fix it, but I was just wondering if you could look into it and maybe find a fix or create “Wii versions” using the old audio. I’ll give some other songs a shot later (like ones I know used to work) and let you know if they stutter too.
December 8, 2013 at 7:41 pm #410387The stuttering issue on Wii is a known problem with songs that have too many audio stems.
This is not something that “using the old audio” would fix either. Songs need to be crafted specifically for use on the Wii when dealing with so many stems. This is very time consuming and not something I will be doing myself…but that doesn’t mean someone else can’t or hasn’t already started working on it ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

Initially, I didn’t know there was actually much demand, but knowing this, patience is more important than ever.
December 8, 2013 at 8:11 pm #410391Oh ok, didn’t know if it was known or not. I was just now catching up with songs I’d missed for the past 2 months last night.
Yeah, I know there’s not much demand for Wii players, especially specifically Beatles Wii players, but you can count me in there! I can wait, I still have the old versions for the songs I was planning on working on.
December 10, 2013 at 1:04 am #410436Bam, thanks to StackOverflow0x TBRB is officially on it’s way to have Wii versions for download straight from our spreadsheet.
The first 10 songs converted were:
Abbey Road Medley
All You Need Is Love
Good Morning Good Morning
Hello Goodbye
Here Comes the Sun
In My Life
Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Yellow Submarine
You Won't See Me
Grab them from the spreadsheet.
December 11, 2013 at 6:19 am #410487Thanks, StackOverflow! I’ll give them a try next chance I get. (At first it was asking me for a login to keepitfishy, but it seems to be working now).
Also, I finished charting Here Comes the Sun pro keys!
