Unable to upload file to C3U file manager.

Hello. Have servers been down or something? I haven’t able to upload a custom today. I can upload the file to the CP 100% and the page reloads, but the custom doesn’t appear. Plus, I don’t get that “custom uploaded successfully” message. Could this be a javascript problem as well?

October 20, 2017 at 2:26 am #491719I just made a new folder and uploaded a new custom successfully so its not a global problem.
What was the file name / folder name you were uploading, was it an upgrade or a new song ? Can you try uploading a different one and see if that works.

Yeah, I figured it out. There was a tiny apostrophe causing the song not to upload. Gotta pay more attention…

What happens once we go live…
If you’re a user, meaning you don’t author, you need to be patient for a little more. When we will go live with the final version, which is soon, you can just go to the c3universe.com login page and log in. You can find your password in your My Profile page here on the forums, it’s called Unique token.
If you’re a C3 original author, you will find all your files and stats from the beginning of our time (April 2013).
If you’re an author, you need to first make sure you posted a song in the Customs database. If you have, when you log in you will be assigned the Unverified account. Request an upgrade from the File Manager and if we don’t find anything wrong with your request you will be given the upgrade quickly.
Yet nothing about how to become an author…

I don’t recall right now how long it took for the upload button to be available for me, but I had uploaded my first one(s) to the database through an external server. Has the issue been solved?
January 23, 2018 at 12:47 pm #494633it usually takes from 30 minutes (almost always) to 24 hours (very rarely) after you’ve posted a song to the DB. That gives you an Unverified account, which doesn’t mean you get C3U hosting yet, it means you can apply for it. From October to December the daily script that takes care of this stopped for some reasons, so if you experienced a delay in that period it’s because of that.
