So, I know someone out there has probably solved this, but I haven’t so, here’s my question. only 2 songs don’t load up or register on my hard drive, they’re obviously Black Hole Sun by soundgarden & Dani California by Red Hot Chili Peppers. This is on TU4 (Title Update 4). I know that they will work on TU5, but then customs wouldn’t work. I’m just curious if they will work on TU4 & how would I go about getting them to work.
The easiest way is to use TU5 once, to load the songs, then go back to TU4, if I recall correctly.
I delete my cache frequently, so I repacked the songs using a different internal name and song ID. To do that, have a look at the internal structure of Rock Band song files and then use C3 CON Tools’ CON Creator to put together a new file with the same internal structure with altered internal songname. Be sure to adjust the appropriate filenames songs.dta in advance to match, or it won’t work.

I’m interested in doing this but can’t seem to figure out how, are you able to list the steps? Thanks
Edit: Managed to remake it in Magma
Would you enlighten us?
How can we play BHS in TU4?
See Whizzer’s answer above. One way is to build your cache using TU5, copy that cache elsewhere, and then load the game with that cache and TU4. Alternatively, there are ways to modify the files to prevent them from being filtered by TU4’s blacklist, so you never have to worry about cache rebuilds. I’d recommend getting familiar with C3 CON Tools and the other utilities available here if you’re curious.
