My grandfather recently passed on, and in his honor, I put together a CD. I thought it would be worth a shot to request the songs I put on the tracklist.
Diamond in the Rough: a Loving Tribute to Frank Degrassi
Chet Atkins – On the Road Again (Prelude)‘On the Road Again’ is already official DLC.- Jake Owens – Ghosts
- Arcade Fire – Afterlife
- Magnum – Don’t Wake The Lion/Too Old To Die Young
- Noiseworks – R.I.P. (Millie)
- Red Jumpsuit Apparatus – Lonely Road
- Eric Clapton – Tears in Heaven
- The Gaslight Anthem – The ’59 Sound (Acoustic) [preferably acoustic, but either version is fine]
- Jim Johnston – Today
- Hal Ketchum – Yesterday’s Gone
Pink Floyd – Wish You Were HereAlready on the database- Neil Diamond – I Got The Feelin’
Bold indicates the tracks I would like to see the most on the database. The last track, being by his favorite artist and the song he died to, is my biggest request.
Thanks.
April 18, 2017 at 2:25 pm #484071Very sorry to hear about your grandfather. The ’59 Sound is coming, along with the rest of the album. Not entirely sure when but I’m hoping I can get it done soon.

The only version that’s been released as DLC is Willie Nelson’s version. Customs authors could chart this for you.
(My condolences, by the way)

We’re really sorry for your loss. Our condolences to you and yours.

I realised that the version that’s official DLC is the Willie Nelson version. I felt that requesting what is essentially just an instrumental version of the song would be overkill. Plus, I was originally going to use the Nelson version, as it was one of his favorite songs, but felt that an instrumental version with a vinyl record sound effect over it would make a great prelude/interlude (if that makes sense).
But yes, I guess it could be made a custom, if anyone would be truly willing to chart it.
Also, thanks for the condolences, everyone. Me (and my family) appreciate it.

He died listening to Neil Diamond?
That’s a pretty bad ass way to go.

Yeah, they had the CD of his greatest hits playing on repeat for the last 12 hours. He loved Neil Diamond. He took his last breath to ‘I Got the Feelin’, which the whole family found unbelievable, as its a song about losing that ‘old time fire’ and dying.
