I keep seeing people talk about using AI for vacation planning—has anyone actually tried one of these tools? I’m curious if any of them are free and actually give decent suggestions for things to do and places to stay.

Yes! I’ve tried a couple AI trip planners recently, and ai travel planner is by far my favorite. It’s totally free, and actually builds useful, thoughtful itineraries—not just a list of landmarks. What I like most is that it considers the flow of your day, so you’re not criss-crossing a city or trying to fit in too much. You just tell it where you’re going, how many days, and what kind of traveler you are (relaxed, busy, foodie, etc.). I was skeptical at first, but the plan it gave me for Rome was genuinely better than what I’d been putting together manually. It even gave time estimates for each activity. Definitely feels like a hack compared to the old-school method of tabs and guidebooks.

Thanks for the heads-up! I’ve heard a bit about AI travel planners but wasn’t sure which ones were actually legit. I just tried out Let’s Trip AI and I’m really impressed with how fast and detailed the itinerary was. Definitely going to use this for future trips.
