Collaborations:
These are all other people’s customs that I’ve helped out in some way. My contributions are detailed on their database pages, so make sure you click and check those out!
AFI – Okay I Feel Better Now (beard216)
HIM – Tears on Tape (beard216)
Ricky Martin – Bombon de Azucar (TheWay123)
Disclaimer:
My initial goal was to stick to purely AFI songs, but I’ve also done a couple non-AFI tracks that are favorites of mine. Every custom will include at least guitar and drums, though I usually will go for bass and keys as well (depending on how hard they are to pick out from the mix). Vocals I’ll be relying on others for help, for the most part.
Also, any song above with a keys chart will have a pro keys chart. Even though I don’t play that specific instrument, I’m a fan of songs having both legacy and pro keys, so I’ll never include one without the either. It’s a package deal. Some of the song cards above may not have it marked as Pro Keys (I’m forgetful sometimes), but that chart is there if it says there’s a keys chart.
Think my Charts Suck?
I’m fairly new to charting, so there’s a pretty high chance these won’t be up to the quality of other charters. I also play exclusively in Phase Shift, meaning that I can’t test certain things out (like vocal charts, animations, venue, etc). If there’s anything wrong with any of these, or any parts of my charts in general, please post here or shoot me a PM and I’ll get whatever issues are present fixed up ASAP.
Want to Help?:
Or if you’d like to help add anything (missing instruments/charts, custom venues, etc), please shoot me a PM and we can get this all sorted out. Currently, most of the songs I’ve charted are without vocals/harms, a fair amount are missing bass, and most of them lack custom venues. I could desperately use someone to fill in any and all gaps, and anyone who contributes will receive proper credit for their contributions! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Requests:
Check out my WIP thread to see what I’ve got in the works, and to drop a request or two if there’s anything specific you’d like to see.

Also, a previously released track has received an update. Now with vocals!

June 3, 2017 at 6:24 pm #485834Thanks for charting more AFI. Not sure if your a fan of the Nitro records years of AFI but I don’t believe there is any customs from that era of the band. Would be awesome to see some songs pop up from their punk era. Keep up the great work.
June 3, 2017 at 6:36 pm #485836I’ve got a couple I’m working on (you can see the list of which ones in my WIP thread). I’d do more, but honestly, most of the ones I’ve started aren’t particularly fun compared to newer songs, at least on guitar. It’s mostly just chords (Days of the Phoenix being the exception). But I’m down to chart more.
If you have any specific requests, let me know and I’ll toss them on the to-do list
June 3, 2017 at 7:03 pm #485837If you are primarily a guitarist I can completely understand why you are more keen to the newer material. I think the older stuff would be funner on drums and I do like the vocals on their older material. Will have to revisit the older albums to spot out the key songs that jump out at me. I’d say just focus on the songs you want to chart and after they are complete I’ll throw out some suggestions from the Nitro years. I may be interested in helping out with vocals when I compile a list of songs that interest me.
June 4, 2017 at 5:14 am #485856Yeah, I think the older stuff is definitely more fun on drums, for the most part. And depending on the song, probably vocals too (I imagine a bulk of Shut Your Mouth would end up unpitched). Ideally, I’d love to see their whole discography charted and available, and whichever songs I wind up doing will most likely end up without vocals without people assisting and charting them.
Didn’t expect this so soon (a buddy was fixing the tempo map and double checking the charts, and just got it back to me today), but speaking of Nitro songs, the first is up and it’s a fun one for both guitar and drums!
June 4, 2017 at 5:34 am #485857Wow that was quick. I was first introduced to the band in 1996 when “Very Proud of Ya” came out. I thought it was a pretty good album but when “Shut Your Mouth and Open Your Eyes” came out, that album really turned up the intensity. Davey Havok is very angry on that album and it’s quite convincing in his vocal delivery. Probably my favorite album from Nitro. I do like the horror rock direction they took for “All Hallows” E.P., “Black Sails in the Sunset”, and “The Art of Drowning”. I think most of their early adopted fans would consider those albums their favorites.
June 4, 2017 at 6:02 am #485858It actually wasn’t. Days of the Phoenix was one of my first attempts at charting when I decided to start charting AFI stuffs. I actually had started it forever ago (before I actually had anything ready to release on here), and I sent it to a buddy to ask him to fix it and give it a look over as the tempo map was a mess and I was having some troubles deciphering the toms in the breakdown. Sorta forgot about it until today when he shot me the finished version. The timing to our conversation was just coincidence ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
I used to be on the old DF forums back before they got nuked right before Burials. Anything from All Hallows through Sing the Sorrow were generally the fan favorites, though I haven’t heard anyone with Shut Your Mouth being their favorite from that period. Which track is your favorite of that bunch?
June 4, 2017 at 8:25 pm #485886I like Today’s Lesson, The Checkered Demon, Third Season, and A Single Second the most for old AFI.
But thanks for Days! I hope that one gets vocals! I love the vocals to Days so much.. same with Silver and Cold though.. oh who am i kidding.. any AFI vocals I can get I will cry happy tears. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” /> ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
June 4, 2017 at 8:27 pm #485887Lucky for you then, someone PM’d me about wanting to add vocals to those two songs. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
June 4, 2017 at 8:46 pm #485889Top songs off of “Shut Your Mouth and Keep Your Eyes Wide Open” for me
A Single Second
Let It Be Broken

Today’s Lesson is a cover song but oh man is it a great cover.

Stoked!
For the vocal charters,
Any chance “Cities of Night” could get vocals? *large smile*
