Lots of outstanding stuff on this list, I can’t wait. I would never admit it to the family tomorrow, but there’s no way any gift is going to top “Wish Were Here” for RB. I almost feel like the wife and I should’ve put a present under the tree for Lowlander, but it would freak us out way too much if he showed up at the door to get it.

    I have your gratitude. That’s present enough. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

And also my sister gave me the first four seasons of Red Dwarf, which doesn’t hurt either.

Damn, I was so thankful that I messed up the title of one of my favorite songs by one of my all-time favorite bands (my post is now fixed to avoid further shame). In my defense I posted that very late after coming home from a “high spirited” Christmas party. I haven’t had a chance to fire-up RB to play all these great tracks yet but It’s definitely going down this weekend. Congrats on the Red Dwarf seasons, although I must admit that I have no idea what that is (I shall Google it immediately).

For reasons that may or may not become apparent in the near future, I have listened to this song countless times and it’s one of my favorites while working on this thing I’m working on.

DON’T OPEN IF YOU SUFFER FROM SEIZURES. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED.

Day 11 is brought to you by Orange Harrison!

See the video reveal in the blog post!

I do sound engineering. I have access to audio-forensic software and can decompile songs back into their constituent multitracks. As a result, I have access to some studio multitracks that not even the original band or studio have in their archives. This has been a burden sometimes; I frequently get sent emails and Skype requests from bootleggers and other people asking me to share my files with them, which I must politely decline.

My work is almost entirely dedicated to The Beatles. I have a full collection of their original pressing vinyl albums, as well as the modern re-pressings. My living space is absolutely covered with Beatle gear; all my cups and mugs (and my shot glass) are adorned with the lads, my closet carries no lack of Beatle-themed tee shirts, folded near where my bright green Sgt. Pepper uniform hangs. Beatles action figures stand on top of the bookshelves, Beatle books fill the bookshelf, Beatle stickers adorn the sides of my bookshelf. I began authoring content for Rock Band 3 when I decided I needed a less bookshelf-centric outlet.

I originally authored independently through my personal blog, and when C3 was founded, wise and fair PKsage was subject to me groveling and begging via email to come in to play with all the other authors too. Now here I am and I couldn’t be happier to work alongside some of these prolific folks.

Despite the infrequency of my releases, I can confidently say they are “good enoughâ€, and stop myself there before this post turns boastful. If “good enough†simply isn’t, well, good enough, please read these reviews from the many types of people who have enjoyed my customs. Gamers, developers, press, everyone’s here. You may even see a familiar name or two:

“I wouldn’t have found C3 without him. What’s more, his customs are consistently some of the best-authored by the C3 team. I love C3 and everything they do, but when I see Orange Harrison’s name attached to a custom I know it’s been made with careful attention to detail. The man is a legend, so far as I’m concerned. Also his checks clear.†–Ben Paddon, host, PortsCenter

“Orange Harrison has an attention to detail in his customs that I have not seen since Harmonix was releasing official DLC.†–Tom Sisco, founder and host, Seattle RockBand (facebook.com/SeattleRockbandGroup)

“Puts extreme effort into his customs and very meticulous with his approach†–JohnLennon007, Pro Bass player, hard-nosed Beatlemaniac

“Mr. Harrison has an impeccable ear for audio design and his charts are absolutely top notch.†–Panzer S., No Goblin

“Orange Harrison is my favourite RB custom author named after a fruit. Sorry, orange22.†–Dan Teasdale, Harmonix, Twisted Pixel Games, No Goblin, “Rock Band 3†Lead Designer

I invite you to follow my Twitter, @OrangeRB3, and be sure to check out my own personal blog where I usually post about The Beatles or Rock Band, usually both: OrangeHarrison.tumblr.com

Here it finally is! You’ve requested it and requested it and REQUESTED it. You’ve choked my blog’s Ask Box and added me on Skype and popped out of nearby manholes as I walk to work, ‘Mister Harrison, can you do Strawberry Fields Forever with multitrack audio next?’ and I finally finished the bugger.Absolutely no expense was spared in making this single as faithful to 2009’s The Beatles: Rock Band as possible. This song features TRUE multitrack master audio, optimized for 5.1 surround sound, re-leveling of each instrument for gameplay purposes, and NO fadeouts. That’s right, ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’ originally had two fadeouts in the song, but this mix plays until the original master tape runs down. Recreating the original magic you felt when you played The Beatles: Rock Band for the first time five years ago, you may once again hear something you never knew was there.

Check back tomorrow for the final day of the Twelve Days of Customs 2014!

(Remember, this is just a reveal; all songs will be released in a megapack on December 25.)

first to all: all instruments (except the drums that is my point of this message) are well charted and very fun to play. amazing sound mixing and editing. great work orangeharrison :excited:

yesterday i was able to play drums in SFF and i enjoy more the single pedal version, the reason is that i have actually disagree with the double bass version chart. simply because is wrong charted, this song doesnt have double bass pedal, that is a floor tom (charted as bass drum), you can clearly hear the diference between the bass drum and floor tom here in this video of the drum solo isolated with the floor tom overdubed:

also is believed that paul mccartney (or maybe the own ringo) played floor tom in other track, and both parts were mixed in the studio release. ( i guess maybe that is the reason of the floor tom overdubing in the video) and thats why i said i enjoy more the single bass pedal version because seems to split the floor tom away. The only song that ringo used double bass pedal was “Good Morning, Good Morning” (which double bass notes were omited by harmonix in TBR:cool:.

an interesting thing: in that video intro (first 5 seconds) you can hear ringo doing a rehersal of the solo but is playing a small tom instead of the floor tom used in the track, this a technique used later mostly heared in King Crimson’s Discipline Album by drumer Bill Bruford (you can compare the intro with “Elephant Talk” for example”). Ringo is an amazing drummer!

It was brought to my attention that Hoobastank’s “The Reason” was missing the pro keys lower difficulties. This has now been rectified. I apologize for the oversight. :ohdear:

            I found a bug

and don’t think I downloaded it

I watched the custom from this video

and there is no F word and I could not find it

so why is it rated mature?

2:26 in the video, “Kill the motherfucker.” It’s also worth noting that things like this should be reported in the Bug Reporter. There’s a link at the top of the page under “Report Song Issues.”

“Strawberry Fields” was recorded during the Sgt. Pepper sessions too, but was just omitted from the album to be released as its companion single (and later included in the American “Magical Mystery Tour” album, which was not an official UK album, but later accepted into canon because its tracklist didn’t overlap with any prior UK albums). In GMGM, the double bass is part of the main take, but on Strawberry Fields it was dubbed in, which is why you (correctly) identified it as separate from the main take. The tone of the drums are vastly different between takes, either because the mics were moved to record two drums, or the bass drums were much more pillow-muffled to prevent clipping when dubbed in. John’s yelling and Ringo’s drum solo were recorded in the same take onto a single track on the master tape, both according to the isolated track on Anthology 2 “as it is completely mono, ie. single-track) and my own stem extraction software, and if Paul were present playing Ringo’s floor tom at the same time as Ringo’s solo, it’s weird that John addressed Ringo only at the very end of the song.

I made the creative decision that releasing the chart on the grounds of how fun it is to play is completely fair, especially since it can’t be 100% confirmed in either direction. Technically speaking, the single-bass chart for the song uses the bass pedal from the main kit dub, so there’s no wrongness there, and if you adamantly believe that there’s no double bass in Strawberry Fields, you can always just not play the 2x version, and you won’t be missing anything, since the single version uses the confirmed single bass dub.

Despite all this speculation, even if Paul WAS present at Ringo’s side/rear riding the floor tom, charting it as such would be even more wrong than my version, because it violates the “Drummers can only have two arms” rule.

Either way, I’m glad you downloaded the song and enjoyed my mixing, as well as the other instruments. No beef. <3

It’s funny that the drums chart was what would catch the most criticism; since Strawberry Fields has some famous misheard lyrics (which became an even worse problem when the incorrect lyrics were the ones printed on the sleeve for the Blue Album).

yeah i agree with you, the 1x bass version is perfect charted, i would have charted it like that, also i think charting the floor tom is wrong in some sports you can hear snare+crash+floor tom, and of course ringo didnt have three arms, xd
