      Hi again everyone.

Feeling a little under the weather this week, so don’t expect anything in the way of wit or clever wordplay. I just want to get something out there and not forget again. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>

With that out of the way, here are this week’s hints:

      • Though we received but one pack from this now-on-hiatus American group, it covered three albums. This track marks the second received from the band’s most recent (and potentially last) album.
      • A popular crossover act, this young talent seems to have been in a lot of miserable relationships, considering the content of their soAnyone in Canada who watched South Park durings its first couple of seasons is familiar with this on-disc band thanks to the incessant airing of ads for its third album during nearly every commercial break. This track was (ironically?) not released as a single in North America, but received considerable radio play and charted on the Billboard rock charts nonetheless.

I don’t get the South Park hint, but my guesses for the others are Coldplay and Drake.

Tweaked the “South Park hint” slightly. I don’t expect anyone to get that from the comment but maybe there is someone who will know exactly what I’m talking about.

A band’s third album. South Park in the first seasons.

          Put that in 97-99.

Radiohead released OK Computer in ’97 and were featured in the episode “Scott Tenorman Must Die”.

Not sure if there is any connection between that and the commercials being aired plugging the album, but it’s a guess anyway.

I think the miserable relationships part of the hint might not fit with my wild stab.

After much searching…. I probably still got it wrong.

There are a few bands (that I noticed) on rockband that have only 1 pack and spans 3 albums.

However, out of these bands, only 2 are currently on hiatus.

            Disturbed, and Incubus.

There have been other singles, but I don’t know if that counts.

My other issue is that neither of these 2 bands really look like they are over.

You missed the on-disc part of the hint. By the way, I change my answer to the ‘young crossover artist in miserable relationships’ hint to Taylor Swift.

I’d like to correct that we got two packs from this band.

You would be correct. My bad. The track-specific comments still hold true.

Ugh. I was way off with Disturbed. They have 3 packs. derp.

The only other one I can find after much cross-referencing and taking into account the on-disc (thx stampface) and the hiatus thing.

                  Alice In Chains: Voices

But their tracks span 5 albums. After all their bad luck I could see them calling it quits. It almost fits.

Rise Against is on hiatus with 2 packs spanning 3 albums and an on-disc.

Make it Stop (September’s Children) was their second single from the 2011 (most recent) album.

But they don’t look like they are done yet.

I think it’s “The White Stripes”.

They’re an American group, they’re on hiatus, they had 2 packs released and a RB3 on disc song, and the songs released span 3 albums(White Blood Cells, Elephant and Icky Thump).

The song should be “Rag and Bone” which is the second single from their last album “Icky Thump”.

About the “South Park” hint, I’m guessing another Alanis Morissette song, maybe “All I Really Want” which, according to Wikipedia, wasn’t released as a single in the US.

The “ironically” in the hint, the Canadian part of the hint, and the miserable relationships, I think it fits. Charted on the billboards despite never being released works too… The album was released in ’95 and South Park started in ’97 I’m noticing, but it’s the closest so far imo.

The White Stripes officially broke up in 2011 which would make remove them from a hiatus status?

You’re right, I thought they were on hiatus, but after reading the wikipedia page more carefully I saw that they broke up.

So, I have to agree with your Rise Against prediction, but are they on hiatus right now?

Glad to see there’s some effort in cracking the code this week.

                      I’ll be gladder when it’s on target. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>

Regarding everyone’s speculation over group #2, who said anything about them having a disc song?
