This is what you get when someone tries to think of hints at seven in the morning.

• The Libertarian presidential candidates used a knock-off of this song in 2008.
   
• This is a song by a long-running C3 act which almost shares the title as the first lyric of a Nine Black Alps song. (Yeah, can’t really think of anything else for this one :S)
   
• This song alluding to a tree was written by a bug.
   
• This is a song by a band who appeared in C3 just this month with a song that sort of, but not really, comes from their earliest work.
   
• Puddle of Mudd will not be a part of this week’s release, but an act sharing the band’s acronym will.
   
• A song by an act who will be making their debut to RB, though not to rhythm games altogether.
   
• Grab your girl and hop in your souped-up convertible and cruise on over to the ballgame. After that take your girl out dancin’ and then tomorrow do it again.

 

I have never been great at making hints, but I hope these are headscratching enough.
