Sure, let’s do this again.
A mix of new and polished up track this week. Here are the hints for the songs you can expect to see, in no particular order.
- This track was an “Original Version” by an artist who did that before it became mainstream. /hipster glasses
- Renaming this purple single avoided a kinky dead end.
- The lyrics for this modern track take a look at the inner turmoil and struggles of those involved in the Iraq war. That should narrow it down to just about 80% of the music released between 2004 and 2010.
- This track by an artist already in Rock Band is a cover of a track by an artist that is in Rock Band (but the track isn’t).
- This track is, at its core, a song about the band’s struggles to make it as a band, wondering what their place in the world would be. That place would be to have introspective, soul-searching singles end up on TV soundtracks.
- This song’s title is only one word shy of being bountiful, beautiful alliteration.
- This song was tied to a movie that can draw links to the following elements: World War I, a Canadian zoo, and a ball-bustingly hard flash game. Its relationship to this movie is similar to that of Lux Aeterna and Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Have fun.

#3 Rise Against – “Hero of War” (This one is a huge guess lol)
#4 Nirvana’s cover – “The Man Who Sold the World” (If it’s this song I would be so happy, also this song is originally performed by David Bowie)

Yeah, I actually like this cover version better than the original (Not dissing David Bowie). Another cover I like from Nirvana during the same concert was “Where did you Sleep Last Night?” Both amazing covers IMO.
Ok, about the cover song, the artist that is already in Rock Band actually, well, yes, it is, but kinda sorta. Let’s say that the artist formally is in Rock Band but an argument could be made that… well, 28 hours to go, then it will all make sense.

Even though we have the original through GHtoRB3, I would literally jump for joy if we ever got Metallica’s version of TTP. However, Seger never made it to RB so I think Whiskey in the Jar is more likely.
