I had to rush through this one because I got home later than expected tonight, so apologies if the quality is lacking.

 

This hint thread discusses a sampling of songs released this week, spread among two fairly distinct themes. I don’t know if it’s Jimmy Buffet and Disturburbed levels of distinct, but it’s reasonable close.

• Vernes’ hero got lost in the infernal valley of early licencing hell.
• This cover of a track in the C3 catalogue has nearly double the YouTube views of the original and probably fifty times those of the track it mashes in briefly. Poor Melissa.

• Someone needs to tell these kids that they can do the things in this song with this song.
• Amber Alerts don’t grow on trees, but the movie this track samples showed us what could happen if they did.

Also, Jules Verne got mentioned in a Rock Band forum. Never thought I’d see the day. I’ve been a huge fan of his books since I was 7 years old. (I sure hope that’s the Verne you’re talking about).
