For what it’s worth, Disaster Area is the loudest rock band in the galaxy. Though I’m not sure what that means the song could be.

I don’t have any guesses but I will say that I think The Deftones are the loudest band I have ever heard. Holy crap, I had buzzing in my ears for 3 days after the show.

go see Sunn O))) and get back to me

EDIT: Even though it’s not a “classic” pack, I’m still gonna guess that the Disaster Area one is Rocket Man.

Can’t think of anything “monumental” from them, but Sevendust has a selection of songs with acoustic and electric guitar solos. And would potentially fit a metal theme. Plus, I love that band, so yeah – I have no idea.

Here’s the answers to the hints.

    • “This song’s lyrics describe a person who was perhaps influenced by Disaster Area. I think he regrets it in the end, though.” – Disaster Area is a fictional band who, as part of their stage show, sent a stunt spaceship flying into a sun to cause a solar flare. In “Sun of Nothing”, the “narrator” of the lyrics builds a spaceship to fly into the sun.
    • “This monumental song from a band never before seen in Rock Band has one electric guitar and one acoustic guitar solo.” As Farottone said, very literal.
    • “This song features an additional vocalist whose various projects have not yet been featured in Rock Band.” – Steven Wilson (of Porcupine Tree, Blackfield, No-Man, etc.) sings some clean vocal parts on Bleak. He also produced the Blackwater Park album, making him more than just a “guest.”
    • “༼ 㤠◕_â—• ༽㤠Praise Helix” – Lateralus has structure and lyrics inspired by the Fibonacci spiral.

      The resemblance is uncanny.
