So, it’s Xmas time and you’re getting all these gifts from us: amazing! But, wait a minute, what are you gonna give US? Well, since you brought it up, let me suggest one small thing. See, authoring a song takes a lot of time and it really drains you. And most of our amazing authors don’t actually play, during their usual gaming sessions, many of the instruments they author or care about animations or Hard/Medium/Easy difficulty levels. Why do they spend hours doing parts of the songs they will never use? Because they’re just so awesome that they want to give you the real deal, the best possible song they can deliver: that’s A LOT of hours dedicated just to make your RB sessions that awesome. And whenever fatigue, stress, frustration, etc. sets in, they all gain a huge amount of energy from one simple thing: knowing how much you like what they do and how much you appreciate their work. So, during these Xmas holidays, while you’re sitting there playing one of the hundreds of songs you never thought would make it to the Rock Band platform, take a small break, log in to our forums, find the authors who gave you the songs you love and write them a simple thank you in a private message. Just think of how small a gesture it is to tell them why and how much you like what they give to you and how big of an impact it makes. Our authors love doing what they do but they love even more know that they made a difference.
And as for my gift to you, I chose a song I authored a while back, part of a big Culture Club pack that you in part already saw released. Karma Chameleon is an amazing song on vocals and it’s got that great beat that 80s songs used to have. I hope you will enjoy this #1 hit from my childhood as much as I loved authoring it. The reason I did this song is the same reason I do all my songs: my wife. She’s the one complaining if we miss our daily Rock Band session, she’s the one giving me strength to author my songs. So there you go, you know who to thank for the songs I author! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>
Merry Xmas everybody and please, send those PMs to our authors, they deserve all the appreciation they can get for the long hours they put in!
Check back tomorrow for the penultimate day of the Twelve Days of Customs!
(Remember, this is just a reveal; all twelve songs will be released in a megapack on December 25.)
December 22, 2013 at 5:33 pm #411037Sweet! I was wondering where Karma Chameleon was in the Culture Club pack. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Thanks, farottone.

Hi everyone, I’m BearzUnlimited, if you couldn’t already tell from the images and other mentionings of my name that are right above this! For this pack, I’ve charted a song from a band that was woefully underrepresented in Rock Band. They’re still pretty underrepresented, but now we have one of their greatest songs. Now with 3 songs released here, I’m still pretty new to C3. You can expect to see a lot more from me in the future! When it comes to genre preference, I enjoy many different styles of rock, metal, and electronic music. However, I’m most fond of progressive and alternative rock, so my charts will likely be focused on those genres.
Before joining C3, my first chart was a song that I didn’t realize was already on Guitar Hero until I was well into charting it. After a couple initial failures, I started getting a hang of the process. Later, I started posting my charts for others to download. You can find a few of my older charts in the Other Customs section of our forums (though one of them is due for some “improvementâ€).
I was introduced to rhythm games with the first Rock Band, which I picked up in 2008. I started out playing drums, which inspired me to play on an actual drum set. Today, drums is still my favorite instruments both to play and chart, but I also frequently play guitar and bass. While I don’t play vocals much, I’ve still gotten familiar with charting them, but it usually takes me the most time. The others say I’m crazy because I add in lyrics one by one instead of importing from a text file. Meanwhile, after 3 years of owning the instrument I’m finally attempting to learn to play Keys.
My favorite Rock Band moment was doing the Endless Setlist 2 in Rock Band 2. I played expert guitar and went for the Bladder of Steel achievement. I didn’t think much of batteries, but luckily they never ran out. Also luckily, I managed to button/strum bar mash my way through Visions without failing. Does it still count as getting it legitimately if I took a bathroom break during Let There Be Rock?
Anyway, hope you enjoy my song as well as the rest of the pack. I look forward to bringing many more songs to C3 in 2014! Have a happy holidays!
Check back tomorrow for the final day of the Twelve Days of Customs!

Check back tomorrow for our final awesome songs!Plural! So at least two songs!
December 23, 2013 at 4:14 pm #411092Awesome! I have the other custom of Paranoid Android that was floating around, but something about the sound was off. It was really loud in the wrong places or something, I don’t know.
Anyway, more Radiohead is always welcome. I hold out hope for more off OK Computer in the future.

Yeah they’ve all been on the first page of this topic?
One by Nightmare Lyre, which should be good (I’m hoping Daft Punk ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” /> )
and one by GHtoRB3 which is nice to see they’re still alive!

I am pretty sure they are no longer working on anything anymore. They just gave all of their works in progress to the C3 guys to finish. Maybe some conversions were far enough along that they just needed some polish and will just be released under the GHtoRB3 charters/authors.

December 23, 2013 at 6:02 pm #411108Paranoid Android is by far the best custom I could have asked for. So happy Bearz took it on. It’s incredibly fun to play.
