I have a FOF song that has a few tempo markers at the beginning of the song under 40bpm. I have the song all synced up in Reaper. I’m having problems figuring out how to change these low bpm markers without messing up the rest of the tempo map. If I were to bypass Nemo’s validation in Magma and compile this song would it cause problems in game?
Click on the blue bar in the Master Track that has the bpm dots on them. Right click, select all time signature markers (or whatever it says).
Hold down ctrl and click [deselect] the dots for the markers that you want to change… so that the correct markers in the song are selected. Copy or cut those dots, and then delete all* the markers.
Go back and re-tempo map the beginning of the song correctly, up to the measure where you copied the notes that syncs up with the song.
Click on the blue line again so it’s selected, and make sure your time editor line is where you want the markers to start. Then paste. The existing copied markers will paste back into the project.
You can only try. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”> One thing you can do is simply double the tempo and double the notes length/position for those measures and move everything else forward. I really wouldn’t bypass Magma because you get essential information on the validity of your MIDI.
Since this beginning intro to the song doesnt have any notes charted I was thinking it would be ok. Thanks for the advise guys.
I’ve tested songs over the maximum tempo limit and they work fine. Under 40 BPM should be fine as well.
One thing you could try and do is double the tempo in the BEAT track and see if it compiles then depending on how low the tempo is too
Thanks for all the suggestions everybody. Do Not Pass Go has kindly fixed the song for me with proper 40-300bpm’s. Next weekend I will release this custom for everybody to enjoy. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
