I want to apologize in advance if the answer to this is obvious, but I’m currently working on my first custom and this song is in 4/4 time, but it has a pause about three beats long about two-thirds of the way in before it resumes playing, so if I continue tempo mapping, the beginnings of the measures as I’m placing them don’t match the beginnings of the measures in the actual song. Is there a workaround for this, or do I just continue mapping according to the peaks and hope for the best? Thanks for your help!

The way you’re describing it, change time signature to 3/4 so that the music starts playing again at the 1 of the measure and there change back to 4/4.
Thinking about it, that sounds like it should work. I’ll give it a shot tomorrow. Thanks! I really shouldn’t try to author at 2am after working all day, ha.
Hey Koenn… Just wanted to check that you and I aren’t working on the same song at the same time, as I’ve come across exactly the same problem! It’s not a Michael Bolton is it?
