Just want to report that the guitar chart for Ex’s and Oh’s is kind of messed up… there are a bunch of places where the notes seem to be a beat behind, like the transitions between colors happens one note too late
July 26, 2014 at 4:56 pm #425525Just noticed there is no single pedal version available for any of these, may I suggest using the Magma C3 feature to render both single pedal and double pedal at once for the people out there without double pedals? What you do is copy your drum track, reduce the pedals to single pedal on one of them, then rename the track name inside of the MIDI on the 2x pedal one to “PART DRUMS_2X” without the quotation marks. Reimport the MIDI into Magma and a popup box telling it detected double pedal charts should pop up and you will now make two CON files on render. Thanks for the tip. I knew there was a method, but I did not quite know it. Do you still have to manually reduce the double bass yourself, though?
Also, I figure if people want the single pedal, they will ask. I don’t want too many files cluttering the topic and file host.

I have been focusing on drums only, but I might go back to that one if I find myself with some spare time.

These are your files so you can obviously do what you prefer, but if you offer ONE version, it should be the proper one, meaning the single pedal version (because that’s how official releases were and because the number of people with two pedals is less than the number of people with the common single pedal).

With all due respect, my intentions are only to share the files that I have made for myself. For myself, I do double bass as the standard, and so far most drummers that I have come across in this community seem to prefer double bass anyways. Besides, if people are serious enough to come to a “drums only” thread in a custom community, and are looking at purely difficult songs (nothing lower than tier 4 difficulty, generally), then chances are that they are invested enough to have a second pedal.
As people come to me for single pedal versions (as somebody did for the first time earlier today), I will ultimately be posting those versions in this thread anyways. But until I see that enough people actually prefer a single pedal version, I see no reason to deviate from my standard.
July 26, 2014 at 6:23 pm #425534so far most drummers that I have come across in this community seem to prefer double bass anywaysI thought the same until I took a look at the download numbers for my customs/converts. You can also reduce double pedal with CAT in case you didn’t know; but it seems to work better on a constant double pedal rythm, rather than fast double/triple kicks (in this case, you’ll have to reduce them manually).
But I’m not complaining ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” /> Thanks for The Crusade, I’ll try this soon!
July 26, 2014 at 9:13 pm #4255472X bass pedal all the way although I completely understand that I’m in the minority and single is preferred.

I always choose single pedal versions so I don’t have extra stuff in the name. I don’t drum anyway (well, sometimes, but not much)
I suspect many other people do this.

Interesting! Well, I tried doing the 2x Drum Tracks for my most recent song, but it only gave me errors saying that two tracks have the same name (“PART DRUMS”), despite one of them actually being PART DRUMS_2X in Reaper.
For anybody interested, there is a single pedal version of The Crusade now up.
July 27, 2014 at 4:27 am #425608The track names on the far left doesn’t matter since it won’t be exported in the MIDI. You have to browse in your PART DRUMS_2X track and rename the “TRACK NAME” event

July 27, 2014 at 3:24 pm #425644Would love single pedal for the devildriver songs, and the other one’s if you can be stuffed ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
thanks!

Sure thing!
The “other ones” being every other song?
July 27, 2014 at 5:35 pm #425666Can I get some input on something? Can somebody please confirm if the “Sellouts” download has working keyboard and guitar? Somebody is saying that it only shows up as drum and bass for them, but it shows up as all four instruments for me.

If so, you needed to change song ID.

I was not aware of this. I changed the version back down for updates that I felt were really minor. I suppose that was my problem
Thanks

As a reference, any change in the metadata (title, album, tiers, instruments, etc.) needs a new song ID.
