So I’m terrible at this series but I love it and I’m super hyped and [expletive] it I want to make a thread. Today was megaton leak day for Super Smash Bros 4 WiiU and 3DS, with video/screenshot confirmations for lots of rumours/leaks in the past week, and this thread OUTSIDE OF THIS POST will be full of spoilers, because dammit, I want to discuss these things.

 

So let me put a bunch of blank space (or what should be blank space) to pad it. When the game launches (first for 3DS, and later for WiiU) I will of course do the NNID list thingy and maybe we can set up some tournaments and stuff kind of like I wanted to do for MK8 but never really did. Actually I think I might set up a weekly game night thing at that point (as we get out of summer and back into the cooler months) but that’s another topic for another time.

For reference, here are the important parts from today’s leak:

• Shulk (from Xenoblade) confirmed w/ video.
• Ganondorf (Falcondorf) confirmed w/ video.
• Bowser Jr. confirmed w/ video (alt costumes are the 7 Koopa Kids).
• Lends strong support to a rumoured character list w/ a bunch of other characters: Jigglypuff, Ness, Wario, Dr. Mario, Dark Pitt, Game & Watch confirmation, and the dog from Duck Hunt. Yes, the dog from Duck Hunt. Some of the cut characters rumoured to come back as DLC (Lucas, Wolf, Snake, Chorus Men, Ice Climbers) which runs kinda contrary to what Sakurai has said in the past (that there’d be no DLC), but perhaps this is free WiiU launch day DLC and not paid.
• Online stats and Salty Bet-style betting mode.
• Internet sharing of Mii Fighters and other stuff.
• Oh, and Master Hand, ofc.
• This is all 3DS stuff, so the WiiU version is still up in the air for non-character content.
