Hello. First post, hopefully this is the correct forum.

 

Could I get some suggestions on some of the most fun drum customs out there? I play expert pro, but I don’t like super difficult ones like most of the death metal charts I’ve seen or really high-tempo songs like Run to the Hills; my cymbals just don’t register hits that fast.

 

For the record, some of my favorite songs to drum are Kids in America, Funk #49, We’re an American Band, and All Along the Watchtower. I also like most of the Coheed & Cambria, Paramore, and Boston charts I’ve played.

If you don’t have any, you should download some of the Rush tracks from Rock Band DLC. They have very fun drum charts a lot of the time.

 

I’m finishing up the drums for Rush’s new album, which has a lot of tom work and tom sections, which are incredibly fun to play.

Some off the top of my head which I think are fun at least but isn’t super difficult (and yes I know I have charted a lot of these, I am not THAT familiar off of the top of my head with all customs out there lol):

 

-Akira Yamaoka – You’re Not Here

-A Perfect Circle – Judith

-Black Sabbath – Iron Man (the outro is crazy but the rest is really manageable and fun)

-Charlie Clouser – Hello Zepp (Saw Theme)

-Donovan – Hurdy Gurdy Man

-Eluveitie – Inis Mona

-Ian Dorsch – Zero Punctuation Theme

-Koji Kondo – Super Mario 64 Main Theme

-Less Than Jake – All My Best Friends Are Metalheads

-Linkin Park – Lost in the Echo

-Pantera – Cowboys From Hell

-Roky Erickson & The Aliens – Night of The Vampire

-Rush – basically anything (Headlong Flight is pretty hard though due to the drum solo)

-Tool – Eulogy

You should get the Chicago DLC tracks especially if you like the Jimi Hendrix tracks as the drum style is similar. Once my Chicago project gets going you’ll have plenty of their songs to keep you entertained ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

Based on your list of songs, you might want to give Chelsea Dagger by The Fratellis and Dashboard by Modest Mouse a try. Both very fun but not insanely difficult.
