So I finally found a stage kit, and assumed I just plug in the appropriate cables and it work right?
Anyway, it didn’t work, the lights do a POST when I plug them in, there is a green light on the fog machine, but I can’t get it to work with any song.
I went around the net (even live chat with PDP) to find a manual or something (manual was removed from online storage due to copyright….what?!)
Is there something I’m missing? I tested with RB2 songs first, just to guarantee compatibilty.
Finally, I searched forums here.
Any help would be appreciated. The guy only sold it because the fog machine set off his smoke detectors. It still had original container of stock fog juice. Don’t think it was used much.
June 19, 2015 at 1:06 am #448483How do you have it hooked up? Light pod to usb on 360… strobe/fogger to light pod… and strobe/fogger plugged into wall. As long as the 360 recognizes the light pod as a controller it should work.

I don’t think it’s relevant, but I’m on a jtag with all files set to live format.
Thx for response.v
June 19, 2015 at 1:35 am #448487You shouldn’t have to be signed in with the pod, just have it as one of the four slots for the 360. I have no experience with jtag consoles, so can’t help you there. Are you on title update 4 or 5? I believe Harmonix patched in stage kit compatibility with tu4.
June 19, 2015 at 1:49 am #448488Oh, I should have stated, using TU4. I read that TU3 patched up stage kit compatibility. I have all songs in 45410914/000000002 not sure if it makes a difference. (I converted all RB2 songs to con and placed them in 00000001 just to test.)
I really appreciate your effort in this. I have tried to list all the important points of my setup, it might be something jtag related (although I searched Google all that before I posted here.)
June 19, 2015 at 2:09 am #448490Have you played a song start to finish? Are you getting fog or strobe at all?
June 19, 2015 at 2:28 am #448491Follow these instructions and test that it works on your PC.
If it works, then the problem is with the Xbox (maybe it doesn’t like jtag?). If it doesn’t work, then it’s the light module or fogger that is bad.
June 19, 2015 at 2:44 am #448492I have played songs that I saw demonstrated/working (A7X Almost Easy) as a test.
TrojanNemo, I will run that pc test to verify.
I was pretty sure there was just a stupid setting I was missing, but something is definitely wrong.
I also double checked that fog to light cable (the s-video looking cable for you old hipsters) and no pins seemed bent or out of place.
I will work on that tomorrow. Thanks for responses.
If anybody has any ideas, let me know. I am willing to try anything.
Oh, not sure if you guys have heard, but I think they are making Rock Band 4. I’ll let you know if I find out any more info….
June 19, 2015 at 8:43 am #448502First one I bought had a faulty “light” tested with PC and it didn’t work with that, got another set and it worked straight out of the box, you can really go wrong with setting up, pc test confirmed for me, if I remember correctly the light controller would light up green as player 1 but just wouldn’t work in game, hope you get sorted I know your frustration
June 19, 2015 at 5:46 pm #448542It works via PC.
So I guess I’m down to troubleshooting the configuration of my files on the Xbox. Or something.
Thanks to all who responded, if anyone has any ideas (I really feel like I’m missing a step), let me know please.
At worst, I can use this for Rock Band 4 ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
June 19, 2015 at 5:50 pm #448543You might have much more luck asking in Doc’s forums. I don’t have the link handy but it’s something like docsrockbandmods.com or something.
June 19, 2015 at 6:16 pm #448545Thanks Nemo, I will look into that. (I edited my last post, didn’t have the fogger plugged in derp)
June 19, 2015 at 7:08 pm #448553At worst, I can use this for Rock Band 4 ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />Which, in my mind, raises an interesting question…
If the (wired) Stage Kit works with XB1/RB4, then why not the MPA?
June 19, 2015 at 7:12 pm #448555If the (wired) Stage Kit works with XB1/RB4
It doesn’t.
June 19, 2015 at 7:20 pm #448558IGN seems to think so. http://ca.ign.com/articles/2015/05/04/rock-band-4-may-be-the-last-music-game-youll-ever-need-ign-first
It is tough to get a straight answer about this stuff.
Is there something you know that “we” don’t?
