If you’ve ever seen British sitcom Spaced, where Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and director Edgar Wright first rose to prominence in the Uk before their smash-hit successes with Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End, you may be familiar with Daisy’s Party Mix. It’s a cassette tape of music Daisy deems to be party-appropriate but is, in fact, a bunch of shit.
Much of the music from DaIsy’s Party Mix is in Rock Band 3, but a few tracks are missing. Let’s look at the tape’s contents:
In order of play on Daisy’s list, the songs are:
- King of Rock and Roll – Prefab Sprout
- The Power of Love – Huey Lewis and the News
- The Magnificent Seven – Elmer Bernstein
- Centerfold – J. Geils Band
- Timewarp – Richard O’Brien
- American Pie – Don McLean
- True – Spandau Ballet
As you can see, only three of these songs are missing to complete the list. Personally, I’m convinced that by this time next year we could be standing behind a door with a gun in our mouths while other party-goers bop away to awful, awful music. Who’s with me?
