I was quite happily charting this tune when i couldn’t find the pitch for the vocals and then i realised it was like… a half pitch.. i went into audacity and changed the pitch sharp 0.5 of a semitone and now it works fine, but, do i finish it and publish it in a different pitch to the album version or do i use the original when i’m in magma and change the keys and vocals thingie…
also, how do i change the keys and vocals thingie xD

Why would you change the pitch of the original song? More than a few singers are a bit sharp or a bit flat, just use the Tuning Cents feature in Magma.
It’s not usually the singer – it’s mostly due to variance in tape speed.

I have encountered both though. Xanadu is a prime example of speeding up the song to cram it on the vinyl, so the whole song is off, but I remember I think a couple of instances, though I can’t pinpoint which, where the singer was off.
Anyway, my reply was based on the vocals remark alone, if the whole song is off, it may be worth it to find out if it actually was slowed down or sped up for some reasons.
I had to change the song for actual charting in reaper because i wanted to be sure it lined up when charting keys and vocals, I still have the original to use in game but i’m not 100% sure how the tuning cents works, and is there one for keys?
