It is time for a new release:
Let Rush take you through the black hole of Cygnus X-1:
Con: http://customscreators.com/index.php?/page/index.html/_/cygnus-x-1-book-i-the-voy-r11754
Authors: (I may not be entirely accurate on the contributions but I’m doing the best based off my research).
Cygnus X-1 Book I: The Voyage:
Original G/B/D/V charting by force20 and then additional authoring and RB3 conversion by Farottone.
Keys/Pro Keys by ejthedj
Beard216 did the CAT reductions.
Cygnus X-1 Book II: Hemispheres:
Original drum chart by Italianstalion and then additional authoring and RB3 conversion by Farottone.
MrBurpler authored guitar, 2X bass pedal, and combined all the Hemisphere segments into one song.
Keys/Pro Keys by ejthedj
Beard 216 did the CAT reductions.
I combined Book I and Book II into one song, completely overhauled the overdrive for every instrument, authored 2X for Book I plus made minor changes to the entire song drum chart. Took out a few talkies, fixed some lyrics, and made other minor changes to vocals. I left the bass and guitar authoring alone. First time for me I made a dry vox file!
Heed of warning that the song froze right before the score tally screen when making the full band preview video most likely due to the epic length and amount of midi notes in the song. Should play all the way through for at least 1 player.
Enjoy!

Thank you. The custom is no near perfection but this is a nice stable release and very playable on all instruments. I just tested it only on vocals and I got the stats screen and back to the setlist with no issues. Maybe its only a full band setting that will crash the song at the very end but I would have to do more testing.
March 11, 2016 at 5:47 am #465055I wish you hadn’t combined the entire epic cause I don’t think I can do that much venue authoring lol but great to see you back with a vengeance!
March 11, 2016 at 9:21 am #465059Thank you for your work.
Is it any chance to have Book I alone ?

Book I alone was already released by Farotone many years ago. You can find it at FOF it just doesn’t have keys/Pro keys.
March 12, 2016 at 3:17 pm #465159Thanks for the Rush Sideshow.
This will give the arms & legs a good workout on the drums.
Can’t wait to try it .
Thanks for your amazing work, appreciate it !
Thanks to Beard for the reductions also ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

Your very welcome. IMO the entire Cygnus X-1 song is just as great as 2112 and should be considered a quintessential example of a progressive rock epic.
March 13, 2016 at 4:04 pm #465220amazing sideshow, by the way, is there a chance to release only-version of Cygnus X-1 Book I: The Voyage?

I could do that but was going to leave it to farottone when he decides to polish his remaining Rush songs that he did years ago. As I said before, even though Cygnus X-1 Book 1 is not in the C3 database, there is a RB3 version over at FOF if people want that song separate as it was originally released on the Farewell to Kings album.
March 17, 2016 at 2:28 am #465452Thank you so much. I really enjoyed this latest Rush release!
Is there any chance you might consider doing CAT reductions for another Rush song The Fountain of Lamneth?
Also it would be mega cool if cat reductions might be considered on some of your other difficult long songs like
green carnation – light of day, day of darkness
x-japan – art of life
edge of sanity – crimson
March 30, 2016 at 1:30 am #466167I’m in the mood to release some conversions this week. You may see more songs released in the next few days leading up to a Magna Opus release on Friday.

Originally charted by Furious and then converted by me. If anybody is interested in adding guitar and bass I may just author vocals. Let me know and I’ll provide the Reaper project.
See ya later!
March 30, 2016 at 4:03 am #466179The Zoo is amazing! This one has to get the other instruments in it!

I agree. Love this song. I’m sure other instruments will get added sometime in the future.
