I’m not sure on the Magma part since I’m user end and not creator end, but you can definitely modify it after Magma compiles it by manually editing the dta afterwards.
July 5, 2015 at 9:56 pm #449610This update is mainly dedicated to all the hard working authors who contributed to Drum Project 7 over at Frets On Fire forums. The selections I chose are from bands that are familiar to me although I’m sure I overlooked many great songs. If anybody has some suggestions from any of the drum project songs that I have not yet converted please let me know and I’ll give them a listen and possible convert them. Lets get started!
“Art of Life” from the japanese power metal band X-Japan. This is an incredible epic symphonic power metal masterpiece that would be unbelievable to have keys charted someday. Ever since I was introduced to this band via the Harmonix DLC “I.V.” I was hooked. You thought “Through the Fire and the Flames” was difficult on drums well this one will TRULY test your stamina.

Dir en grey is another band I was introduced to via Rock Band this time through the RBN. This is one demented metal band that I love and everyone should check out the uncensored video of “Obscure” on youtube.

How about a few female fronted metal bands? Amberian Dawn needs no introduction as well as Lacuna Coil both of which I discovered through Rock Band. We already got a few songs off of Circus Black via RBN before the service went under but not “Fight”. Senzafine is sung completely in Italian language so it feels different to me than your usual English metal tunes.

Here is a lengthy Porcupine Tree song of which hailed them as being the Pink Floyd of the 90’s when it was released. This version contains both phase 1 and 2.

The first track off of the legendary thrash metal band Pantera’s “Far Beyond Driven”. Awesome punk beat in the beginning of the song.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen Dethklok in concert. One of my favorite metal bands for sure. This is taken from their latest album The Doomstar Requiem.

True story about me is that in the mid 90’s I was bumpin “Frogstomp” so loud in my car while driving it distracted me and I got into a car accident! I will always remember Silverchair for doing that to me! I went ahead and charted vocals on this song to make it full band.

Freezepop has always been one of my favorite Harmonix bands. Can’t believe this song never made it in rock band 3 officially but its probably due to “Gameboy” copyright. I may chart vocals and drums eventually. If anybody from Harmonix is looking at this thread, please chart the new song Phantoms for RB4!

I know you must be saying “Where is the vocals?”. Well, I’m considering charting vocals because I love this song so much. Its one of those 70’s gems. This live version is fantastic too. One of the best live performances ever.

Lastly I have two Pro Drum fixes from previous King Crimson releases. Lizard has had major changes done to the tempo map and chart so its worth redownloading. Discipline has some fixes to the drum chart as well.

July 5, 2015 at 11:34 pm #449621Thanks for adding vox to my Silverchair chart!
July 5, 2015 at 11:39 pm #449622i almost redid the whole Lizard chart, there were some inconsitencies through all the song, specially the fast snare part in “Last Skirmish”, of course it still has narutostarwars work but i “remastered” the whole chart and fixing bpm as said by sideshow.
Discipline was fixed drums to the second part, giving more importance to paradiddles, also paradiddles were added to the first part ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
not much fan of Porcupine Tree but their 90’s song’s classic prog sound is amazing, thank you meander and sideshow
July 6, 2015 at 12:44 am #449627Thanks for adding vox to my Silverchair chart!Your welcome. After realizing it was only like 30 minutes worth of charting I couldnt resist.
July 6, 2015 at 8:22 am #449647Working the midnight oil to get this song out. Originally intended to be in yesterdays update. Arguable one of the most difficult charts I have ever seen. Taken from the critically acclaimed jazz drumming movie Whiplash, be prepared to get punched in the face, kicked in the balls, and curb stomped when playing this chart. This song contains illegal BPM markers that go under the 40 BPM range. Don’t worry because I tested both versions and they work. The only issue I’m having is that you cannot have both the 1X and 2X in the same library at the moment. Probably some DTA conflicts that I’m too tired to fix right now. Enjoy!

Please don’t kick this one back to me for fixes. ItalianStal1ion even said it was a hot mess. The portion of the song where the snare slows down and then speeds back up is something I don’t think I’ve ever seen in a drum custom for Rock Band. I can’t even believe somebody had the balls to even try to chart this unbelievable track.

July 9, 2015 at 1:36 am #449851Fun fact. This song has isolated keys stem. Guitar Hero has no keys! Maybe I’ll chart the keys to finish this up. Havnt decided how to make the vocals HARM1, HARM2, HARM3. The singer sounds like he’s asking questions and then answering them. Could separate the questions as HARM1 and then the answers as HARM2 and maybe some HARM3’s for the last chorus. Any suggestions?

I would say do that but also it sounds like they are singing together in the chorus and such.

I quite like the idea of the separated questions and answers sections even if it is just one singer.
July 9, 2015 at 2:35 am #449856I’ll probably separate the questions and answers as HARM1 and HARM2 for the one singer and then do HARM 1, HARM 2 and HARM 3’s for the chorus sections.
July 9, 2015 at 3:58 am #449865Any updates on the Steven Wilson pack? Just curious. Your output lately has been amazing!
