June 17, 2015 at 2:53 am #448298It’s kinda silly that A Nightmare to Remember has 4 minutes of uncharted keys (especially since it’s multi-tracked). But eh, what can you do? Can’t wait to see what Dream Theater songs you guys have in store next.
Hopefully the rest of “Train of Thought” will come down the pipeline eventually. “In the Name of God” would be a killer track from that album.
I’d much rather have Awake to be honest. ToT is one of my least favorite DT albums
June 17, 2015 at 3:39 am #448302that so “the best of times” is chart by meander? ._.the chart it’s mine ._.
published February 23th ._. !!!!
this 90% it’s mine
I thought I had forgotten something in regards to crediting it. However, I did make some adjustments to it. Mostly with the first solo. I guess it can receive a dual credit.
Still you have to give me credit, I insist I am novice at this and I can hardly do
Did you only chart guitar on that song? I will update the credits to have you in there.

I have a question: Are ya’ll going to do CAT reductions on Led Zeppelin and the Rush that was released?
That would be kewl and I’d be eternally grateful!

+1 for CAT reductions.
June 17, 2015 at 3:49 pm #448348Guys, credits are important. You can’t forget that you took someone else’s work and used it to tweak it and then credit yourselves. Aways make a note of who you took the material from and credit that original author. Also remember that changing a few things is not authoring a track and this is how we do it at C3:
– A chart has only been tweaked here and there: “(instrument) by (original_author)”
– A chart has been used as a base but has been heavily edited: take credit for the song and add “(instrument) based on a chart by (original_author)”
– A chart has been essentially redone: take credit for the song
If you forget to credit, and I can understand it can happen, don’t take the thing lightly: immediately edit your credits so that they reflect who originally did the song, don’t just treat the event as a minor thing, it certainly is not for those who worked hours on the song. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>

He’s right though. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”> In this world we only have credits to show, it’s not a business, so it’s important we track what we do and if mess up we need to be quick to respond. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>

If I could get freaking Python to work on my Vista laptop, I’d try using the CAT tools myself.
June 17, 2015 at 7:33 pm #448376If you guys get like five songs of each, LZ and Rush, I’ll CAT em.
June 17, 2015 at 10:40 pm #448396Can we get Deep Purple’s Machine Head album the CAT treatment while we are at it? ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
June 20, 2015 at 4:27 pm #448657Well, I’m late about this. I’m noticing some things I forgot to chart in “A Nightmare To Remember” from the video. I’m going like “I thought I had charted thay!” But nope. I might do an adjustment to that track. Also, I noticed an audio error on my part with “The Shattered Fortress” that I will correct.
BTW, the loudness of the Keyboard/Guitar Unison solo in “A Nightmare To Remember” is a byproduct of how I got the stems for the album. The stems came “Guitar (Rhythm), Bass, Drums, Keys (Rhythm), Vocals, and Solos (Guitar and Keys).” So unisons like that needed to be copied twice to be playable on Guitar and Keys. However, I asked Sideshow to render the volume for those two instruments by half during the unison. Didn’t happen. I guess I’ll go around in Audacity and do that myself.
As for my customs, I am welcome with anyone coming in and adding stuff after they’ve been released. In fact, I encourage it.
I’m lost in a bunch of music now and I’m pulling at straws at what to chart. I know I said I’d do Train of Thought next, but honestly…..I’m a bit DT’d out after doing 14 songs by this band. Kinda like how I was PT’d out after doing 3 albums and an 8 pack by them.
Quick question for a future charting project of mine: Would it be off-limits to do a full-band version of the album version of “Prequel To The Sequel” by Between The Buried And Me (The RB2 Free 20-Pack used an edited version)? I’m considering doing the rest of the Colors album (I’m getting back into BTBAM).
June 20, 2015 at 6:50 pm #448667I’m interested in the full version of Prequel. I would love to see one of the newest songs done, Coma Machine would be fun.
June 20, 2015 at 6:54 pm #448669I’m interested in the full version of Prequel. I would love to see one of the newest songs done, Coma Machine would be fun.I’m actually working on it now, it’s almost done, I just need to finish Guitar and add OD. And I plan on doing Viridian/White Walls too, since I’ve finished every other song from colors (except Sun of Nothing).
June 20, 2015 at 7:57 pm #448676Heed of warning! The rest of the month is going to be dry as far as new releases. This past week I was really busy watching the E3 press conferences in addition to my full time job ramping up. This coming week I’m going to be working on more RBN1.0 songs so next weekend is going to be dry as well. I plan on releasing a full band custom next weekend of which I’m actually charting vocals for right now. I know this is crazy, me actually charting vocals again. I have a reason why that I’m doing vocals and it will be revealed when the song comes out. I’m sure a few of you will really enjoy this song. Did I mention that Batman Arkam Knight is coming out Tuesday? Oh wow, there goes more of my time. I just used the new smiley….. must try to refrain.
Enough of blabber, here are the few releases for this week. The instrumental masterpiece from Dream Theater “YtseJam” now as a drums/guitar custom. The reason I did this one is because my older drums only custom had no artwork, wrong metadata and I wanted to update it so it looks of better quality compared to the rest of the DT in my library. I’m not quite sure who charted the drums for this song as I took it from the repository and added Thebocaj’s guitar chart. Keep in mind that the guitar chart isn’t synced 100% accurate from the original guitar chart because the tempo maps were different and the guitar solo’s are absolutely bonkers on this song so it is very difficult to align the notes properly. I just realized that the guitar solo markers are complacent. If anybody wants to polish it up and add bass or keys its up to you. I wanted this for the drums but the guitar chart is completely playable as an added bonus.

Here is another instrumental song by French Jazz-Fusion artist Jean-Luc Ponty. Featuring Journey drummer Steve Smith. A challenging song on both guitar and drums so if your a fan of jazz music then check it out. @missingn042128 I’m holding off on the other song you gave me because I believe another author is working on it.

AJFOne fixed the tempo map to Astral Traveller. Nothing else has been changed to my knowledge. @AJFOne The other song you gave me is going to be released by the original author.
