April 21, 2014 at 11:25 pm #418490I’m not forcing anybody to download anything here. Nor am I charging a cent.
So? What’s your incentive to chart something incorrectly or make up notes that aren’t there?
I understand if you’re learning and charted incorrectly because you don’t know better. But actively choosing to ignore existing rules and guidelines, just because, is never a good idea… and the fact that it’s free doesn’t make it any less shitty.

Its not like I overchart every song I do. If it were a traditional rock song you probably wouldnt of seen me chart 4 note chords for whistles and such. Also, this song is very repetitive on most of the instruments so I wanted to put some more flavor into it. I may go back to it soon to make some suggested changes but for now I want to work on some other material.
April 22, 2014 at 7:33 am #418524This is my first convert from phase shift. All charting credits go to Oscarj08. What I did was add overdrive and drum fills. Plus I made some very minor changes to some notes. I really enjoy long epic songs and this is a great tune to get high and just space out.

I get it. But still, it’s like painting a WWII Pearl Harbor mural and adding in kamikazi ninja, riding dragons and Captain America riding a Jaeger from Pacific Rim to fight them off because it’s “awesome”. Sure, charted correctly, the song would be repetitive, but I’d much rather play something that represents the song accurately. Personally, the fun part of playing songs is playing them, immersing myself in the music by being a part of it. Extra notes and instrument mixing on charts really distracts from that, I thought we collectively moved beyond that after Guitar Hero went full band and dropped that kind of charting for the most part.
April 23, 2014 at 12:02 am #418602can someone comment on the Echos tempo map? good?I merely added the tempo map from the phaseshift chart starting at 3.1. Video Preview now up. I’m really happy how the overdrive panned out.
April 23, 2014 at 12:27 am #418606From the looks of the video, the second verse and onward until the guitar solo seems to be all off-beat on Echoes ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
Also everything pretty much falls apart tempomap wise during and after the “seagull scream bridge”

April 23, 2014 at 12:58 am #418610I played the whole song on drums last night and sure its not perfect but its completely playable. It was not a mere copy and paste the whole chart. Lots of sections were completely off timing to the point of unplayable. I dont know why this was the case. I ran the midi chart through the Midi Cleaner of the C3 con tools and it fixed over 5000 errors. Still I love it. It’s a real relaxing song and the 2nd half is cool with lots of cymbal rides and tom rolls.
May 6, 2014 at 3:06 am #419606Today I bring you two more Rush converts from phaseshift. Both songs have G/B/D. All charting credit goes to narutostarwars and oscarj08. I added overdrive and drum fills. Then I bring you one of my favorite rap songs. Could bring some good times to your drunken Rock Band parties.

Look in Oscarj08’s thread for Phaseshift Charts. Its not very hard to convert especially for drums because phaseshift drums are pretty much charted the same as RB3’s drums. I also want to point out that my preview videos for these songs may look like the audio is a bit out of sync for the chart but I assured you that I tested these out and they play in sync. Its something to do with my capture card or youtube’s processing. A video preview for the Snoop Dogg song is coming soon. Youtube is going really slow for me tonight. And thank you for the Dick Dale song!
